Tough, ours for two is nearly $1,100 per month. It will keep going up from there.
My Mom taught until she was nearly 70, my Dad worked until he was 67... the taxpayer got a really good deal on Dad. He died 10 years later and having taken the high early option didn’t leave much after that.
I’m self-funded... try them apples as most of us do. 21% is the figure that think they will actually retire. I think 21% is a pretty close match to the number of federal and public employees. Meanwhile, the rest of us work until we drop in the traces to pay for their benefits.
If it is not game over soon we deserve all we get.
I feel bad for people who are thinking of retiring at this age. They must really hate working and being productive. To me, that's kind of sad. What a waste of potential.
Or they hate their job and/or working to feed government.
