Spock is overtaken by the effects of the 'Pon Farr' a condition which effects Vulcans on a seven year cycle. He becomes emotional and starts acting strangely. A violent outburst and argument with Nurse Chapel is witnessed in the corridor of the Enterprise by everyone, and Kirk has to confront Spock in his quarters. After an uncomfortable conversation Spock finally reveals to Kirk that he must get to Vulcan to mate - or he will die. Kirk has to defy Starfleet to get Spock there after Dr McCoy convinces him that it is the only way to save his life.

I watched every episode of every cannonical ST series (TOS/TAS/NG/DS9/Voy/Enterprise) by Star Date not the date it aired on TV last year
Some of the time travel episodes from the NG were actually the first episodes then a couple of TOS and then Enterprise.
She was a real babe.
ME-TV which has Star Trek on Saturday evenings will have “Amok Time” on at 8:00 P.M. Originally This Side of Paradise was scheduled and it too would have been a good one.
I always liked Star Trek. Maybe half were really good but there were a few bombs too.
Go to the library and check out the entire series on remastered DVDs.
Getting the remastered version gives you an excuse to watch the entire series again.
Instead of merely vegging out on the couch for two days eating Cheetos and pizza, it is more like doing research.
The remastered editions are also available on Netflicks
I thought my suggestion might be a little outdated, but the library is still there for those who don’t have those services.
