I hate it too. I had an old flip phone until just recently and it was a chore on it. It is easier now with my Iphone but I still don’t like it

I hate that they they to control my music.
I can’t tell you the number of times I lost ALL my music because they have their retarded control over everything.
You would think that there would be at least one or two BIG warnings that said if you continue with your attempt to “Sync” this device you will LOSE ALL OF YOUR MUSIC !!!!!
