Reminds me of:

Actually a giant diamond or clear crystal is likely the answer. The entire object glows with sunlight and the second dot is the focused sunlight traveling through it as if it were a magnifying glass.

There’s a lot of ice on the moon, did it ever emit light like that?

If it’s like my house, I bet some alien’s wife left the lights on all night.

If the planet rotates, it should be pretty easy to determine the angle of the sun in relation to these lights. Take another picture from the same angle when the sun is at a different inclination, and you can determine if it is sunlight glint. This isn’t rocket science (ahem) folks.

That massive equatorial ridge is seriously weird. Iapetus also has one light colored side and a dark colored side. Ceres is out there from the sun and in a strange neighborhood. Thanks for posting the photo of Iapetus, I hadn’t seen any of this before.

The 6 kilometer equatorial ridge completely encircles the moon just to make it even odder. Early images, now removed, at NASA showed that the moon is not round but hexagonal ... and so may not be a natural body ...

Depends on the shape or angle of the ice surface which direction the reflection would go. I would imagine.
