Madonna’s show-closing number at the 35th Annual BRIT Awards, held Wednesday at the O2 Arena in London, marked her first BRITS performance in 20 years. It should have been a triumph for the “Living for Love” diva, but a scary onstage wardrobe malfunction ruined the moment and nearly led to disaster.
After a processional through the crowd with Madonna dressed in a full-body shroud, the singer’s devil-horned dancers attempted to remove her cape as she stood precariously at the edge of the stage’s upper platform. It appears, from almost instantly posted YouTube and Vine videos of the live broadcast, that a dancer’s yank of the cape (which failed to slip off as planned) caused her to abruptly fall backward, tumbling several feet and across four steps.

It looks like the overtly satanic stuff has now become mainstream. It’s kind of like a high school kid trying to get attention by doing something outlandish.

How embarrassing, and funny. I will bet somebody got :1 inch from the face” YELLED AT by her the second the show was over. The guilty party may have driven off to escape while Madonna finished her stage work.
She was completely and literally swept off her feet going backward. It was like a stunt Carol Burnette used to pretend to do. Madonna could have injured her back big time.
I suspect by now, somebody has lost both their hearing and their job with Madonna. I have to give her credit though, she got right back up and finished the performance.
That was pleasing.

On an episode of The Simpsons, there was a Rolling Stones ‘Steel Wheelchair’ tour poster (parody of the ‘Steel Wheels’ tour). Sounds like Madonna is about ready for one.
That was hilarious, and good grief that song is awful!.
