Just how ginormous is Apple Inc. now?

As the iPhone-maker’s shares continue to set fresh record highs, its market cap is now above $765 billion. Combined with Exxon Mobil Corp.'s pullback over the past six months, Apple has pulled off the rare occurrence of being worth at least double any other publicly traded U.S. company. No. 2 Exxon’s market cap has eased to $374 billion.

Doesn’t seem to bother liberals, unlike just about any other corporation.

Interesting discussion tonight on the John Batchelor Show about a possible Apple car - yes, as in automobile. Starts about 10:30 and ends about 18:30 on the podcast => http://johnbatchelorshow.com/podcasts/mon-22315-hr-1-jbs-bill-roggio-fdd-tim-higgins-bloombergbusinessweek-thaddeus-mccotter-wjr

Exxon can and has existed and survived without Apple. But Apple cannot exist without Exxons product: oil.

That rating is by Market Cap, not sales.

Apple is way down the list of companies ranked by revenues.

But Exxon is only one of many companies supplying oil.

If you want an iPhone, iPod, iWatch, iPad or soon iCar, you have to go through Apple.

Would not be surprised if some day Apple drilled some iWells so that they can be self-sufficient with oil as well.

I guess it’s time for the government to start looking for money from them.

The way I understand it those product lines are old, like macs etc. Everything new needs to be built in communist countries for some reason.

“Old”? ... They are selling them new today, and the market share is increasing to the point where in the near future it will surpass other manufacturers.

I don’t know about you, but I’ve got an iPhone, an iPad, and an iMac, and I’m ready to get a NEW iMac this year!

That doesn’t sound old to me ... :-) ...
