YORK --- A woman in York called law enforcement last week to report a very unusual peeping tom.

The woman told the York County Sheriff's Office she woke up around 2 a.m. on Feb. 11, and saw a light outside her window on Lomita Road. When she got up to investigate, she saw that the light was attached to what the incident report describes as a flying "drone." The drone then flew away from the woman's home toward a Duke Energy building.

By the time the woman contacted sheriff's deputies on Monday, she said she had already contacted Duke as well as a relative who used to work for the power company, apparently believing they were operating the drone. She was then told to file a police report over the incident.

The report doesn't offer any description of the drone, other than it the bright light described by the witness.

“It’s the same kind of story
That seems to come down from long ago
Two friends having coffee together
When something flies by their window”

I read an article some time ago about an anti-gunner group that was annoyed that a legal gun club was exercising its Second Amendment rights at their range.

The LIEberals put a drone up to “spy” on the gun club, and got really annoyed when the gun club shot the drone down!

The video was nifty!

When someone owns at least several acres of land, I think it will have to be required that people flying drones provide some sort of notification, or obtain permission to fly over someone’s property. No one has any business flying drones around others’ homes and property unless permission is obtained in advance. Trespassing laws, or air space laws of some sort should apply.

If a drone is trespassing, do you have the right to interdict it?

Real question since I live in a high rise, & if I open my curtain to see a drone staring me in the face, can I try to destroy it?
