YORK --- A woman in York called law enforcement last week to report a very unusual peeping tom.
The woman told the York County Sheriff's Office she woke up around 2 a.m. on Feb. 11, and saw a light outside her window on Lomita Road. When she got up to investigate, she saw that the light was attached to what the incident report describes as a flying "drone." The drone then flew away from the woman's home toward a Duke Energy building.
By the time the woman contacted sheriff's deputies on Monday, she said she had already contacted Duke as well as a relative who used to work for the power company, apparently believing they were operating the drone. She was then told to file a police report over the incident.
The report doesn't offer any description of the drone, other than it the bright light described by the witness.

The operator got a twofer - 1) peeping into a woman’s bedroom window and 2) scouting out the power plant for possible future terrorist act.

There was a young Maiden from York,
Who thought she could sing just like Bjork.
She sang with a harp
But went terribly sharp
So they bunged up her throat with a cork

This is the one time when Blind-squirrel, stopped-clock Biden might actually know what to do.

Just one of an endless of number uses for those neat little drones. The only limit is your imagination.

Can’t wait to pop and drop one of those things, I’m sure it will be sooner rather than later.

I quit watching Eureka when they kept showing and kept showing a picture of the usurper during one episode. Never watched it again.

Good ole Catawba station a few miles away.
I pass through York to visit friends and what family I have left.

A year or three ago I had a LARGE vehicle seller ask me to study his VERY LARGE car lot for security reasons. He was losing radios, tires, etc. from thieves, employees, etc. and felt his nightime guards were in on it. I brought a drone over to his facility and flew it for a week. Caught three intruders, deterred seven people who were trying to get over the fence and two guards who were having sex. He was afraid of lawsuits so he didn’t implement my plan.

It used to be that those mysterious lights were attributed on aliens in flying saucers. Now they're attributed to drones.

No doubt there will be endless very worthwhile and very mischievous and illegal uses for drones. It’ll be the Wild West for a while.
I live surrounded by several acres of pasture, and wonder if I can shoot low flying drones with a shotgun if they seem to be up to no good.
