Some of us remember America of fifty years ago. Vastly, vastly different than what we see now.
In your opinion, what will America be in another fifty years?

At this point in time, my most optimistic 50 year future scenario has all of North America being a Balkanized war zone.
Maybe compare with 50 years ago would contain hints.
1965 the war in Vietnam continues to worsen as whatever the Americans do including major bombing of North Vietnam they continue to lose more men , at the same time the Anti-War movement grows and on November 13th 35,000 march on Washington as a protest against the war. There is also civil unrest with rioting, looting and arson in Los Angeles. This was also the first year mandated health warnings appeared on cigarette packets and smoking became a no no. The latest craze in kids toys was the Super Ball and The Skate Board. Fashions also changed as women’s skirts got shorter men’s hair grew longer as the The miniskirt makes its appearance. Hypertext is introduced for linking on the Internet. The St Louis Arch is completed and The Beatles release 4 new albums including “Help”.
Compared to 1910-1960? Surely you jest.

Did you ever see the movie Tank Girl? It will be a wasteland just as that. The elite will live in special areas guarded from the masses.
Spanish will be the spoken language. Everyone will be some shade of brown/olive skin with curly, dark hair.
Around in 1965? Son, I was not only around but had finished a stint in the military by then. I remember 1965 like it was yesterday, and Mad Men portrays it perfectly.
Hiroshima is thriving because it is inhabited by Japanese.
The U.S.A. is rapidly becoming a politically correct mish-mash that rewards idleness.

Does that ever describe Putin, BO and a lot of modern day despots to a T or what?
And Cubs’ fans will still be saying, “Wait ‘till next year.”
It is the future!
We hit that milestone back in November of 2008
America in 50 years? Poorer, no longer sovereign, a one-party state loyal to a world government, a populace 100% dependent on government, possible persecution of Christians, strict government regulation of all aspects of life with severe penalties for violators, Muslim influence approaching a tipping point.
I’m not actually sure what it will be like? I do not know who will outfight and outbreed who? (Muslims or Hispanics)
I’m not sure after America is basically gone, who will win in the Hispanics vs Muslims war.
America will be five states—one one. Most poverty ridden like Greece today—One a democracy the rest socialist multi-party places where the rich rule. Freedom as we know it will be a bitter memory. We will be like England is now—living on memories only. We will still have superbowl—it will be the only thing that unites us to any degree. Hollywood will be just a tourist trap—all films made in South America or India. One of the five will be Obamaland where he will be the founder. Alaska will be part of Russian Federation. A large russian Naval base will be in Long Beach. Russian and Chinese will be taught in our public schools. No cars will be made in the former USA.
Whether that is different for the better or different for the worse remains to be determined.
