I have found that, when sleeping with a cat on a mattress, that sometimes that cat begins to expand and gets larger. Sometimes so large there is no longer any room on the mattress for me. A relief to know I wasn't the only one this has happened to!

Just give them the bed, then go downstairs and sleep on the couch. It’s easier than trying to sleep while holding on to the bedside table so you won’t fall on the floor.

My barely 8 lb. Stella manages to somehow take me from near the middle of a king-sized bed, when she settles down against my side at night, to me hanging off the side of the mattress in the a.m.. My back starts aching and I wake up to find that she has done this and I have no memory of moving there!
