Internet connection hangs. You hit Stop. You hit Preview again. Then hit Post...internet connection hangs. Hit Stop....etc, etc.
Apparently the action from the Stop button is buffered and it posts your three previous attempts despite best effort.
No, there are far too many BAD movies that try to substitute stunning visual effects for a good story and solid acting. . .
While Jupiter Ascending wasn’t a movie I’d add to my “must own” category I kind of liked it. :)
Personally, I thought Cloud Atlas was very well done. And if it weren’t for the homosex boosting and “big oil” bashing, I would describe it as a great SciFi movie.
IMHO - given that there are numerous settings and time-lines for each character (playing a different role in each) it is a movie that takes multiple viewings to fully appreciate.
My two cents...
IMO, the Matrix sequels were ruined because they failed to capture why the original Matrix was so unique- the story about human freedom and suffering vs a comfortable dream-slavery state. Instead of exploring that further, they made the sequels into mindless shoot-em-ups. Same with the Alien sequel- they made it into a bug hunt.
Actually, you sum up my opinion of it better than I did.

I think they failed because by the time they came out all the gee-whiz FX of the series was no longer new and exciting and people finally paid enough attention to realize the story was stupid. They really aren’t any dumber than the first movie, but the first time out it all looked so unique and exciting and moved at such a fast pace nobody had time to say “people are batteries?!”
The first Alien sequel (Aliens) was great. It completely changed the tone, but that worked to its advantage. Where Alien is in the end your basic babysitter killer horror movie, Aliens was smart to not try to do it again (look at the Halloween series). Taking the aliens and the planet and a corporation that is willing to sacrifice people and spinning that into a solid action movie (and actually a pretty smart one) was a good move. The problem winds up being with the other sequels that can’t seem to decide which template to follow and do both half way.

It is about—what it is always about—Script—script—script! Its about the story—not the actors, not the special effects—the plot rules the film. If its too complex or too preachy its going down in flames. Look at American Sniper—it walked the tightrope and was a hit. A well written cheap film will beat out a poor megabuck blockbuster—with no heart. A film got to have heart—miles and miles of heart (as the old song goes). People miss this—what the old studio moguls knew in their gut.
People will turn out in droves for a well written good film (look at Harry Potter or Twilight films). Hey, out in Hollywood land -— look at the script before you spend a cent for a film! In truth you must give the people what they want to see! Do it and you can make millions.
You always demand a percentage of GROSS. Even then they’ll screw you by fudging the numbers.
I will agree with that. LOTR was well done.
Now it makes perfect sense.
I saw this last night and enjoyed it. I would rather have flying boots than wings though.
