Why Netanyahu Must Address US Congress

Jerusalem, Israel — February 7, 2015 … There is only one entity that truly does not want Netanyahu to address the US Congress. Iran now has 19,000 centrifuges and admits it has 1,008 IR2m machines that can produce nuclear bomb grade material five times faster.

Israeli Maj. Gen. Amos Yadlin, former military intelligence chief and executive director of the Institute for National Security Studies, states that the Iranian program is currently three to six months away from a bomb.

Israel faces its worst threat since its rebirth in 1948. The Jewish people face their worst threat since the Holocaust. Yet, Iran has attracted quite a chorus of Western cheerleaders.

The primary cheerleader comes from the White House. His name is President Barack Obama and he could care less if Israel was nuked tomorrow.
Instead, using every political tool he has, Obama has called for Netanyahu not to address the US Congress on Iran. Obama believes that a bad deal with Iran, giving Iran a nuclear weapon, is better than no deal.

Obama states that Netanyahu’s upcoming speech was a “departure from protocol.”

Upon closer examination and a New York Times “correction” one can see that there was no “departure from protocol” and that the White House knew in advance of House Speaker John Boehner’s invite to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to speak to a joint session of Congress.

Obama also states that he does not want to interfere in Israeli elections, with the speech coming up just a few weeks away from votes being cast. Obama knows nothing about the Israeli voter.
Does he truly believe that those who live in Dimona, Beer Sheva, Hadera and Kiryat Shomona will watch Netanyahu’s speech and then decide who to vote for?

The Israeli voters know what they want. It’s security. And that is not going to change no matter how hard Obama spins ignoring the words Islamic terror while reminding Christians about the Crusades.

Netanyahu’s speech is about Iran, not Israeli elections.

It is Obama who is making it about Israeli elections.
Not only has Obama tried to create the perception that the Netanyahu speech is about Israeli elections, Obama now has his own campaign people in Israel doing all they can to overthrow the Israeli government.
Just ask Obama’s 2012 Field Director Jeremy Bird and his V15 staff of 40 operatives working out of the offices of One Voice in Tel Aviv.

A US President is trying to overthrow an Israeli government? The White House is trying to destroy the government of it’s best, most loyal friend in the Middle East?
The only democracy in the region which could qualify for being America’s 51′st state?

But it gets even better.

It appears that the US State Department is funding the anti-Netanyahu effort through grants it has provided to the pro Palestinian, pro Hamas organization One Voice.

U.S. Senator Ted Cruz and U.S. Representative Lee Zeldin are complaining about OneVoice’s involvement with the State Department.

“There appears to be a danger that U.S. taxpayer funds are being used directly to shape the outcome of the upcoming Israeli election – and specifically the campaign against Prime Minister Netanyahu,” state Cruz and Zeldin.

Obama is now pressuring US Democrats and American Jewish leaders to boycott the speech. Vice President Joe Biden just announced that he would be traveling and cannot attend.
US Secretary of State John Kerry is doing a disappearing act (no different than Paris) and ADL Director Abe Foxman is publicly requesting that Netanyahu cancel his speech.

As an American Jew who knows Foxman, this is perhaps the worst, most destructive act he has ever undertaken.
Foxman, who spoke with Obama, would rather bend to Obama’s narcissistic ego than stand with Israel in it’s real time confrontation with Islamic nuclear terror.

Foxman does not have children living in Israel.

Netanyahu knows very well that there is not one hour to delay in stopping the Iranian nuclear threat.
This is not nor never was about US bipartisan politics or Israeli elections.

This is about President Obama spending more time on trying to destroy an Israeli government than addressing ISIS, al-Qaeda, Hamas or Islamic Jihad.

For this reason, Netanyahu must address Congress.

The Left is terrified that Netanyahu’s address before Congress will have the same galvanizing effect that Churchill’s “iron curtain” Missouri speech had in 1946. Netanyahu will clearly and with precision outline the threat that nuclear armed Muslim fanatics is for Western civilization. It will contrast with the contorted rationalizations and incoherent mumblings that the American people have heard from Obama. Churchill’s speech made clear the reality of international communism. Americans then understood the threat, fought the cold war and eventually communism was destroyed as an existential threat. The Left fears that Netanyahu will do the same regarding the Muslim jihadists.

He should stay home. I wager that everyone involved will find some face saving way to cancel, maybe call it reschedule, until some time after the Israeli election and maybe with the joint participate of everyone.

Obama's narcissistic behavior will most likely create the opposite effect of what he's trying to do.
I will bet that this will be the most viewed speech coming from Congress for 2015!

We pretty much know what he needs to say. And he’s a very good speaker. But the problem is that the ones who need to hear him are threatening to go AWOL. There truly are none so blind as they who will not see (or hear) Bibi has to speak, yes, but I greatly regret that the D party leadership has been infiltrated and usurped by Enemy agents and members of our ruling elite who’ve somd out to the enemy. And, as Jesus said, “ Do not give what is holy to dogs, and do not throw your pearls before swine, or they will trample them under their feet, and turn and tear you to pieces.” Well, I for one look forward to heating Bibi even though I doubt anything anyone says can do much good for Anerica as long as our government has been taken from us.

There are some indications that this is really causing a lot of trouble for Bibi in Israel where many have appreciated Democrat support over the years and now see failure to coordinate between Rs and Ds as potentially very dangerous to Israel. Here is a quote from one discussion of the topic I was reading:

“Even a small movement against the Likud could lead to some other party getting to form the next government. Instead of Bibi running a victory lap just before the elections, now they’ve been doing damage control on this for a couple of weeks.
Hanegbi’s spent his whole career as a political hack, going back to his time in college (and yeah, he’s been on my radar for that long). He doesn’t do nuance.
Ambassador Dermer is another political hack, and a former US Republican operative to boot. [It appears he had to give up his US citizenship in order to take this post.] He and the Speaker’s Office got their signals straight and told the same story: that it was Boehner that get snowed. Dermer clearly did not want to burn bridges with Boehner or the Republican leadership. Hanegbi’s radio interview — a forum that was likely campaign related — is political damage control related to their elections.
In Israel, this story is decreasingly about Iran, and increasingly about how badly Netanyahu is mismanaging US relations by undermining long cultivated non-partisan support for Israeli in the US Congress. It’s the last thing that the Likud wants to talk about right now, but the story won’t go away. They’re starting to panic.”

I don’t know how true all this is, but is certainly worth finding out more about. For sure any war that we might get into with Iran is going to be even worse than the Iraq debacle.

Why should he wait after the election? He is the current Prime Minister of Israel. Why is it any of our business when their election is taking place, and why should that decide whether he can speak or not?

Unless of course, the ones who don't want him to speak are hoping and working for him to be defeated so that the next administration there will not be opposed to a nuclear armed Iran, and call them out on their foolishness.

I’m with you. I still can’t believe it either. As bad as everyone thinks Romney was, I sure wish he had prevailed. He wouldn’t be out to destroy the country.

I heard that since the people of Israel found out Obama had sent people to undermine Bibi’s election his popularity has surged.
