Congressional Democrats Introduce Ban on ‘Large Capacity’ Magazines
Breitbart ^ | 02/06/2015 | Awr Hawkins

On February 4, Representative Elizabeth Esty (D-CT-5th Dist.) introduced a bill to ban “high capacity” ammunition magazines, and it was supported by 100 Democrat cosponsors.

Senator Bob Menendez (D-NJ) introduced the same legislation to the Senate. And Senator Richard Blumenthal (D-CT) said Democrats are starting with magazine bans, but the expanded background checks championed by Senator Joe Manchin (D-WV) will be “reintroduced in this Congress as well.”

According to the Hartford Courant, Democrats believe limiting ammunition magazine capacity to 10 rounds will reduce mass public firearm-related incidents. Democrats did not bring up Elliot Rodger, who complied with California law and only used 10-round magazines in his attack on innocents in Santa Barbara on May 23.

The next day, May 24, Breitbart News reported that Rodger made up for smaller magazines by simply buying more of them. He had over 40 ten-round magazines in his possession when he carried out his heinous act.

Nevertheless, Democrats are pushing for a “high capacity” ban, which they categorize as part of “common sense gun safety reforms.”

Remember when the MSM used to criticize House Republicans for passing legislation that had no chance of becoming law because they knew it would not pass Harry Reid’s Senate and a Presidential veto?

“common sense gun safety reforms.”

They haven’t got enough “common sense”, collectively, to come in out of the rain.

I guess their benighted leader, Blumenthal, never tactically reloaded during his dreams of combat in Vietnam.

OH PLEASE - Keep it up!!!

NOTHING helps REPUBLICANS more than Democrats talking Gun Control - NOTHING. We took the House in 1994 and only lost it when Pelosi, VERY WISELY, ordered her flock to NOT talk about gun control. We got it back thanks to Obama and actually added to it last year, in large part because of all of the gun control talk.

There are still liberals that run around saying “no one is going to take your guns”...when they know FULL WELL that is the long-term plan. For the short term, they need to make it more and more of a hassle to own guns...so less people own them - and THEN, as they did in Australia, they can come in for the kill and SEIZE whatever is out there.

And by the way, for you people that say you’ll never give up your guns - it really doesn’t matter at that point - if you’re caught with a gun, even in self-defense, you would felony charges. So, at that point, you’re looking at 10 years in jail because you pulled your previously-hidden gun out to prevent your wife from being raped.

That’s why the DEMOCRATS always need to be STOPPED on this issue.

At this point ... "Malon Labe"

"I will never surrender (my guns), I will continue to resist, I will make every effort to escape" - this is an excerpt I memorized from the US military manual regarding capture by the enemy. I was provided that manual in basic training 40 years ago, and is still applicable now!

I view Democrats as wanna be dictators and Socialist/Communists. They use the masses. They lie, they inflict economic pain on the population, they inflict damage to their own country to keep themselves in power. They tear families apart, break down morals, enable immoral behavior, get what they desire by judicial tyranny. The mask has slipped and their goals are in plain view. They are Nazi's in their behavior and desires for Government. Although it ain't over till it's over - it looks like our nation may survive the Obama/Reid/Pelosi terrorist occupation.

Fuckem' they do not get any respect from me, if they are ever successful enough to get that far again - lead by another tyrant, and want to take our guns - it is time for open rebellion - something that is clearly a major goal for them to seize power and impose their will on the masses - the only thing they truely care about.

Most semi-auto pistols are MANUFACTURED with magazines larger than 10 rounds, these days.

A Browning Hi Power, manufactured first in the 1930’s, has 13 round magazines.

Idiots! limiting the tool, instead of the wielder of the tool.
