It helps make the cigar, too! I once got in trouble for telling the wife I was on the porch with a young blonde and a 25 year old. :)

Well we say nay nay. A little GA distillery by the name of 13th Colony is making the most kick ass booze you ever tasted and cheeeeep. I am at this moment in time sipping a to die for rye whiskey at $28 per bottle. Mr. GG2 is drinking an extra dry vodka martini at $10 per. Seriously cannot tell the difference between it and Grey Goose. They also make a terrific bourbon, gin and corn whiskey.
Located in Americus, GA they have an annual tasting at their distillery with gourmet food etc. We are in the tasting club and planning to head down there March 26th for the event.

Don’t apologize! That’s a great graphic.

Still have a wee bit of Yamazaki 18 year old that I found a while back. It compares very well to a couple of my favorite Scotch Whisky selections - Springbank 18 and Highland Park 18. Very smooth, light smokey slightly sweet finish that lingers.

GG2, I am glad to hear that Georgia Whiskey is no longer being made in truck radiators. Although I grew to like the slightly rusty, metallic tang, it did cause several of my guest to go blind.
The delivery service was appreciated. The Deputy was very polite and his patrol vehicle was spotless.

That sounds like a good drink. The reason I like at least a 25 year Glenlivet is because that is the year it starts having the peppery/smoky sweet taste. That peppery taste compliments a good stick.

I also like the Macallan 18. Nearly the same peppery taste as the Glenlivet 25 but half the price.
I always thought JD was for country music lovers and rednecks, but somehow it got expensive so people think it is a better whiskey. No offense to rednecks as ir1.

Yes things have changed. This new distillery is incredible. I don’t know how they produce that quality of liquor for the price.
