Make Democrat-controlled cities stand on their own and the list will look far different.

Violence Policy Center is code for “this study is crap”.

Looks like they lump everything together, police shootings, justified homicides, suicides, etc.

Wonder what it looks like with those pulled out?

Now let’s do the same thing with MURDER rates.

Their data includes suicides, criminals shot by cops, accidental deaths, and any death where a firearm was merely “present”.

It’s BS.

I wouldn’t be at all surprised if the “rate” value used fudged numbers as well. No way Illinois’ rate is so low, ditto Michigan and Indiana (Gary). Also, Wyoming, AK, and many of the other “red” states at the top of that list have low populations, so even vanishingly-small numbers of deaths related to firearms skew the numbers. Further, I’d put a fair amount of money on a big chunk of the AK deaths being suicides.

They don’t differentiate legally possessing a firearm from illegal possession. I would bet a stolen firearm in the hands of a lawless gangster is far more likely to be used to in a violent crime than those firearms in my safe.

Doesn’t this directly contradict the Lott study from “More Guns, Less Crime”?

These weasels are known to outright lie about the numbers they present.

I know for a fact, from years of looking at crime stats, that the murder rates are lowest in States that allow firearms with the least amount of red tape.

States and cities with the strictest gun control laws are the ones that have the highest murder and crime rates.

What these liberals want everyone to believe is that using a gun to defend yourself constitutes violent crime. If a cop shoots a bad guy, that is considered violent crime. If you use a firearm o defend yourself late at night in your home, that is violent crime.

What liberals want is like England what has: If you harm a criminal, like a liberals are, you should go to jail.

The vast majority of criminals are liberals, and liberals hate it when we shoot them.

The “VPC” is so blatantly deceptive besides trying to put anything on the internet so gun control crazies will have something,...anything,...they can try and use to rebuff the Truth. Pathetic how they think they can just put this kind of crap out there and thinking Patriots will not debunk them. This is not 2008 where the silent Majority just sit back. This is 2015 and the resoundingly, outspoken Majority will call them out! Their lies will more likely make them look like fools they are. Here is just a splinter of information.

Anti-Gun Advocates Probably Won’t Like This New CDC Report

“The study showed youth homicide rates fell across the board – in males, females, whites, blacks and Hispanics. However, males and blacks continued to be killed at far higher rates than females or people in other racial and ethnic groups. The 2010 rate for blacks was nearly four times higher than the average for all youths that age.”
