I am an impartial observer of Florida, although, even though it’s -10F this morning outside the back door, I’ve never been tempted.

Florida has a lot of misfits and vagabonds, it also has a lot of angry black people. It is possible to visit large prisons (aka gated communities) where mostly nice white people feel a sense of security being inside a fence guarded by black men with guns. There are also large (real) prisons where mostly not-so-nice black people are inside a fence guarded by Spanish-speakers with guns.

There are also fabulously wealthy places located VERY VERY close to amazingly poor places, like Rio except plastic surgery in Florida really can’t match nature in Brazil.

Just seems there’s a lot of crazy people doing weird/illegal things there in more numbers than other states and it’s white people too so can’t really blame ghetto culture or illegals.

My wife's group of friends in SoFlo (all Latino) are constantly complaining to her about the influx of Haitians into SoFlo. They're always talking about how nearly feral they are in behavior. Again, these are established immigrants from South America and the Islands complaining about a new group of immigrants. Most of these folks are involved with the school system and are shocked at the disciplinary problems along with the hygienic nightmares they are dealing with.

I don't remember it being that way while we was there so it's really sad when I hear these reported relayed to me.

Plenty. If you think that most white folks live in gated communities, you're delusional. West Central Florida was a major hub for the KKK last century, and that legacy is evident in many parts of Pinellas, Pasco, Hernando, and parts of western Hillsborough counties where blacks are disproportionately fewer than other parts of the state.

Floridians are also VERY well armed. We don't need blacks and Hispanics "guarding" us. We do that just fine ourselves.

There's a reason Florida looks crazy: we LIKE it that way. It keeps the rest of the faint-of-heart liberal idiots AWAY!

In my town in Florida, Negros and the rest of us get on pretty well.The occasional shootings and robberies are not monocultural activities such as they seem to be in other places.
