SEE: Critical of Obamas past actions, GOP now wants to give him more power on trade
Republicans have consistently railed at President Obamas exercise of his executive authority, disparaging him as an emperor who has ignored Congress on immigration, climate and Cuba.
Now that they fully control the Congress, those same Republicans critics are on the verge of handing the president expansive new powers to circumvent those who want to stand in his way on trade.
GOP leaders in both chambers are close to introducing legislation that would grant the administration broad authority to finalize one of the largest free-trade pacts in the nations history.
The power being discussed here is one which removes the peoples Representatives from the process to create, debate, amend and then adopt legislation regulating trade with foreign nations.
Fast-track trade power would allow the President to negotiate trade deals with foreign nations in secret, eliminating the American Peoples Representatives from their assigned duty to create legislation regulating commerce with foreign nations. Congress would no longer create the legislation and the process of adding corrective amendments to the presidents deals to insure deals which promote Americas best interests would be totally circumvented. The only part Congress would have in the Presidents fast-track trade power would be an up or down vote within 90 days upon receiving the presidents deal which leaves little time to even allow the peoples representatives to read and study the deal and then debate it before a vote.
This is another Chamber of Commerce idea to remove the peoples Representatives from the process and be free to adopt trade deals which are not in the best interests of America, but rather, are deals beneficial to international corporate giants who have no allegiance to America or promoting the general welfare of the United States.
Every member of Congress who supports this Fast-Track crap ought to be viewed as a domestic enemy of the United States who is attempting to circumvent the Peoples Representatives constitutionally assigned duty to create legislation promoting an America First trade policy.
Some of the GOP ringleaders behind Obama-Trade are Senator Mitch McConnell from Kentucky, Senator Orrin Hatch, Utah, and our little weasel from Wisconsin, Paul Ryan.
Just remember exactly what they are attempting to do, which is to circumvent the process of having the peoples Representatives creating legislation, debating it, amending it and then adopting it. The intention is to effectively exclude the peoples elected Representatives from the law making process as it was intended to operate by our founding fathers.

To support Jeb Bush is to support our Global Governance crowd and their WTO, NAFTA, GATT, and CAFTA, all used to circumvent America First trade policies, while fattening the fortunes of international corporate giants who have no allegiance to America or any nation.
The Chamber of Commerce has become a force for evil in the US.
Looks to me they never left control.
Actually, I like these agreements, as it makes it NEXT TO IMPOSSIBLE for unions to hold this country hostage. Notice that there aren’t significant UAW strikes anymore...there certainly used to be, until just about the time when we started importing Japanese cars.
Anything that weakens unions is good in my book!
They`re already in power.
Well yes, I am sure you are both right. The rats are still in control. Dang them all to heck.
You are content to see wages and standard of living and lost self sufficiency in the USA come down to 3rd world status because you don’t like unions? Do you like illegal immigration too because they bust up construction unions too? I don’t mean to offend but I see those who want our economic status destroyed because they don’t like unions as cutting their nose off to spite their face. The exportation of our jobs and importation of cheap labor is primary factor in our massive debt.. This policy destroyed what was our tax base because we exchanged tax paying US industrial and construction jobs with low paying jobs that get tax credits and food stamps.
We’ve been purposely conditioned by the powers that be, with their strategy of multiculturalism, not to look at the USA as a “family” with common interests as the citizens do in countries like Israel and Japan. We tend to look at the USA as divided noncohesive factions while the globalists reap the benefits.
“You are content to see wages and standard of living and lost self sufficiency in the USA come down to 3rd world status because you dont like unions?”
I do think it’s dangerous for security to outsource practically every critical technology - so yes, I would have preferred destroying the unions without having these trade agreements.
But yes, too, I do HATE unions that much. The more I learn about them (such as how they had to be bribed before they’d load our cargo ships during WW2), the more that I HATE them.
