As I am a woman who has made such comments, I can tell you that a woman saying that is usually making note of the fact that the guy is preoccupied with his looks.

The comments at the site are an echo-chamber of projection and loathing. The overwhelmingly liberal-identifying commenters project their own hatreds and self-loathing onto conservatives, then accuse them of those hatreds, and from there it’s just a short jump to loathing conservatives for what the liberals merely imagine conservatives believe, when in fact, those hatreds are in their own “liberal” minds.

Disturbing. And a real waste of life.
