SEATAC, Washington Two planes have been evacuated on arrival at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport due to what a spokesman called a "security concern."
Airport spokesman Perry Cooper says a JetBlue flight from Long Beach, California, and a regional SkyWest jet from Phoenix were the planes involved. The flights arrived late Sunday afternoon.
Cooper said that out of an abundance of caution, passengers were bused to their gates from the airport's third runway. He said the matter was under investigation and he did not have further details.
The evacuations come a day after bomb threats targeted two jets bound for Atlanta, prompting F-16 fighter jets to escort the planes. Saturday's threats targeted Southwest Airlines Flight 2492, which arrived at Atlanta from Milwaukee; and Delta Air Lines Flight 1156, which arrived from Portland, Oregon.
Just a little disruption. Tie up the entire flight system by calling in a few false bomb warnings a day.
They should not announce these hoaxes, as they can inspire copycat hoaxers.
we had one today, too, in CLT. The aircraft was just released. Good thing Obama is in charge..
Trial run to see our response.
It’s about the Seahawks, no doubt. A rehearsal for their playoff game with the “Death to the Hawks” cult of New England.
These are terrorists. They should be rendered (painfully) dead.

Weren’t there two other planes diverted or something about a week ago for the same reason?
Team Obama really jumpy about the JV team
I’d have a creepy feeling about going to the Super Bow next Suday.
This is getting weird
Packers fans...
It’s only sort of weird. Disruption through false bomb threats costs the airlines lots of money, annoys passengers, slows down all of the incoming flights...and costs the terrorists nothing.
I don’t know if the comment about copycat hoaxers is humor, just the mention of copycat gets my attention. Authorities seem to be worried about copycat crimes, but I have yet to actually see where one has happened. I wish someone could produce some sources for copycat crimes that have actually occurred. I doubt that there are very many.
I got an extra screen in San Diego yesterday.
Nothing drastic but it seemed like they were looking for someone.
That was my first thought.....
