Bill Belichick says he has "no explanation" for Deflategate
The Boston Globe ^ | January 22, 2015 | Matt Pepin

Posted on 01/22/2015 7:24:55 AM PST by Biggirl

Coach Bill Belichick said he did not know of any issue with the Patriots’ game balls in Sunday’s AFC Championship, and did not learn the league was investigating his team until Monday morning. He also said he did not know how the Patriots’ footballs became underinflated during the game.

Russell Wilson divorced his wife after he made it in the NFL, but before he signed his big contract. But the real question is what’s the difference between him and Tim Tebow?

Tebow doesn’t promote the mass killing of the unborn.

Except tweaking with the balls has a long history. Earlier this year Minnesota got scolded for aiming a heat machine into the ball bag when they were playing in 12 degrees. Aaron Rodgers has stated he likes his more inflated than the rule allows and generally submits them that way hoping the refs miss it. Brad Johnson paid somebody to scuff of the ball at his SB. But people only seem to really get worked up about it what it’s the Pats.

He is promoting OBAMACARE!

Horse hockey. He is telling people to get healthcare. The website has far more options than merely the Gov option.

The person who is responsible is TOM BRADY!!!!!...

The truth will come out that he has been doing this for most of his career. And if that’s the case, it would be the same as Barry Bonds taking PED’s... all of his records will be tainted and he should be banned from the game/hall of fame.

But does the NFL have the “balls” to get to the truth, then take appropriate action if one of their “golden boys” is the culprit? No!

***If the balls were different, why didn’t the Colts say anything? They handled the ball too.***

The Colts did say something. They mentioned it earlier in the season, as well as after the interception in last Sunday’s game. This time, the refs got involved.

Also, each team provides their own balls to be used on offense. The Colts used Colts legal balls, and the Pats used deflated illegal balls. Now that in itself didn’t change the outcome of the game. However, it does show, once again, that the Pats cheat. They’ve been caught twice, but just like it is for most criminals, you don’t get caught your first time. You get caught once you start getting sloppy with your crime.

The Patriots and their fans seem to be taking particular pride in their cheating, in a similar way that Dems are proud. Note the many articles and posts on FR brushing it aside, that every team does it, that if you want to win, you should cheat. Pats fans are thrilled with this video, even FReeper Pats fans. http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-chat/3249399/posts

It’s too bad, though. Their reputation is tarnished, to the point that the rest of America will always think of the Patriots as cheaters. Every win by them will have an asterisk by it in fans’ minds. The Patriots have lost what really mattered. “Indisputable” winner can never be attached to them ever again. The Pats have earned their cheating reputation, fair and square. I feel sorry for them and their fans.

The Patriots scored four touchdowns after the footballs were replaced at halftime, just like you said.

But that won’t stop the BS comments from some of the posters on these endless “deflategate” threads.

He is telling people to go to Healthcare.gov an Obama sponsored.. government website.

You can put the blinders on all you want. But Russell Wilson.. your pet cat apparently.. is supporting abortion.

Either he is intentionally doing it or he is too stupid to realize it.

Thanks for feeling sorry for Pat’s fans. I’m sure they’re deeply mortified and will probably want the Pats to give the Superbowl trophy to Seattle should they beat the Seahawks....

***If the balls are manipulated after the refs have approved them it’s a different issue.***

The balls were given to the refs a few hours before game time, which were checked by the refs at that point, and were given the ok. The deflating happened after the balls were returned to the teams before the start of the game. During the first half was when Colts player made the interception and noticed that the ball felt deflated. He gave it to the ref and said something about it to him. That’s when this whole thing started being examined.

You honestly think a bounty system that pays players to physically injure their opponents is on the same level as deflating a ball a little bit? That’s nuts. Is Vaseline on a baseball the same level as the pitcher taking steroids or HGH?

The NFL has a penalty in place for this: 25k fine. They obviously don’t think it’s a big deal. People just don’t like the Patriots. They’ve been winning for 15 years. Gotta tear them down.

Robert Kraft (owner of the Pats) has donated over $100 million to charity since he bought the team. Clearly he’s an asshole. He’s a billionaire because of Brady and Belichick.

Go ahead and be the Pharisee you want to be. Wilson is doing no such thing and you are the one too blind to see.

Yes, any change after approval by the refs is serious. It doesn’t matter who does the changing, Rodgers, Brady, whomever...it’s cheating.

Score at half with the “deflated” balls—17-7. Score after the deflated balls were replaced at halftime— 45-7. Some controversy....

Okay, they didn't need to cheat. So, why did they?

Locker Room at halftime: "We are down by 10 points and the Patriots are screwing around with the ball inflation. We told the refs and that's the last we heard but I'm sure that the Pats will be straight up by-the-book for the rest of the game."

No Pharisee here. Just an honest assessment.

Why did he sell his soul to the devil? Peer Pressure?
Maybe he sold out a long time ago and we’re just now seeing it.

Anyone who STARS in a commercial for Obamacare/Helathcare.gov, government mandated and paid for abortions, etc.. is a SHILL and worthless in my book.

If I were to engineer such a feat (that would be unlikely to be discovered), would be to inflate the footballs with a mixture of gases with different vapor pressures.

Suppose, instead of inflating them with just air, you included in the mix freon. When the balls were in play on the field in the winter the absolute pressure in the ball would automatically go down and when they warmed back up after the game the pressure would go back up.
