Eat s**t Roger Goodell.
And, once again, the Seahawks, described by many as worthless, undeserving thugs, have lost a big game. The loss reflects badly on the city and everyone who lives in or near Seattle, branding them as losers and idiots.
And...I can’t move away.
So, I guess I am a loser. Now and forever. Amen.

Are you kidding? What an amazing defense of their Super Bowl title. They were in two in a row. Do you know how many teams and cities crave that?
I’m not crying wah. I didn’t give sh## who won this game. Pats, Hags’ Packers...........all classless.
Yet...here you are.
Yeah I am going watch Downton Abbey I didn’t care for Katy Petty so I turn to the Matlock rerun on Hallmark channel
Can we arranged Bender had affair with Jane Skinner LOL!
You know what say about my city least my city burning the city to the ground if we ever won Super Bowl or any championship
That probably reason LA City fathers dont’ want Raiders come back they know what going to happen
I wait for next year football season whatever team is that good see you next season Bender or other FR threads LOL!
Except that 98% of Freepers hate the Seahawks and denigrate their fans.
As Carroll told ESPNs Ed Werder, the clock, the situationwe had it all in hand. They werent going to have any time left unless we scored on one of the early downs. We were totally in command and we were going to win the game and then a guy makes a play that hes not supposed to make, makes a great play and steals the game, steals the championship from us.
We’re all Monday morning experts on how stupid is one of the best coaches in the NFL. Is he as stupid as so many say? Well, of course, because the wheels fell off and we all knew that would happen if he called that play, right?
My take is Carroll was worried about giving the ball back to NE too early, the way NE had just given the the ball back to Seattle too early. Apparently, according to his explanation which makes sense to me, Pete Carroll’s call was to take time of the clock because at that point there was about one minute on the clock, enough time for the Pats to move into field goal position and at least tie (the Pats are ranked #1 in the NFl for successful field goals and #1 in long field goals (40-49 yards)). I believe that was on his mind.
In my mind, Carroll’s decision, although disastrous, is not necessarily as mysterious as why Belichick didn’t immediately call a time out after Lynch’s run to the half-yard line with about one minute to go. That to me was astonishing. I couldn’t believe I was watching NE’s chances going down the drain with every second that went by and Belichick just standing, looking from the sidelines. So far, I haven’t been able to find anyone talking about that. That truly made not sense to me at all. Does anyone out there have some insight into Belichick’s thinking on that? Love to hear it.
Anyway, overall, I thought it was one of more enjoyable Super Bowls I’ve seen.
Brandon Browner openly admitted that the Patriots intentionally injure players when the opponent is better than the Patriots. Tongue and cheek or no, the fact he would joke about that so callously speaks volumes about their culture. I think it's Boston culture in general, since I remember something similar happening with the Bruins a few years ago. I've always hated Boston, and now I hate it more.
Anyways, they needed to knock out two key players on the Seahawks to bring the Seahawks down to their level so they could have a chance to eek out a victory. It's very similar to how the MSM tried to pump up John Kerry with bogus letters from imaginary Bush commanding officers to bring him up to Bush's level in the 2004 presidential election. (Funny that the Patriot's logo looks like John Kerry). In this case... it worked.
Bottom line: The score should not have been this close in the first place.
But to Patriots fans: enjoy your tainted victory. Your team succeeded in knocking a better team down to its level. Guess cheating is okay and good guys really do finish last.
"As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord."
Colts fans know what it is like to be cheated.
The Patriots, playing in a city with hoards of championships, a city with an entitlement mentality, a fanbase that leans deep blue (Seahawks fanbase leans barely GOP), believe in "winning" at all costs, even if it means compromising the integrity of the game.
To win yesterday, they needed to knock the Seahawks down to their level with the hit on Lane, creating mismatches later in the game on the 'Hawks Therald Simon which Brady successfully exploited.
As to the other comments on Brady's character: This article gives us what we need to know about how he orders his entire life around football.
While Russell Wilson builds up people and glorifies God, Tom Brady builds up Tom Brady and glorifies Tom Brady.
This game was a microcosm of what is happening in the world today, with Obama and evil winning in the end.
I think if you disbanded all the teams, the human beings that make up the Seahawks would provide the best boon to their community. Tom Brady would commit suicide, of course, since football is his idol pursuant to the Second Commandment.
Also, I would venture to say that the fan base of NE is slightly more conservative than that over in rainy, chilly Seattle - of the endless funky coffee shops and the flannel-shirted alternative rockers.
I do understand it's like arguing whether or not Florida gets more snow than Hawaii.
Interesting, but not what I was talking about.
I was talking about Pete Carroll’s and Bill Belichick’s last-minute decisions hoping someone would shed some light on why Belichick didn’t call a timeout.
