Wife Comes Home to See What Her Husband Has Done to the House: ‘I’m in Shock’
TheBlaze.com ^ | Jan. 21, 2015 | Dave Urbanski

Diane Andryshak said she and her husband hadn’t been at odds.

“We were not fighting, we were not arguing,” she told WABC-TV.

Which is likely why the Middletown, New York, woman was extra shocked when she returned to her house Monday expecting to see this:

…but instead she found her home demolished, with all of her belongings inside — courtesy of her husband of nine years, police said.

He’s a contractor. And even I know how to shut EVERYTHING off. And I’m a girl.

That’s weird because the Blaze article has her saying she left for work and when she returned she found the house in ruins.

Who knows. A bizzare story to be sure.

She did not make any remark about the bulldozer.

Quite clearly his male neighbor did, not his wife.

Had a buddy in the construction business who was getting divorced. He was all sweetness and light through the proceedings. She didn’t know that he knew about her lover. He gave her the house and a cash settlement that was more than generous.

I complimented him on how well he handled the whole situation. That’s when he shared with me that he really hadn’t handled it well. Nothing like a guy who build houses for a living to know how to demolition a house and still have it look normal. Seems he disconnected over half of the outlets, loosened pipes, removed screws and replaced them with nails, sabotaged the air conditioning...all manner of things that “just kept happening” while she and her new man “lived in his house.”

For months after I would see him smiling and he’d say, “$4,000”, or “$2600”, relating to me the most recent repair bill she had to pay.

Evil...bwahahahahah...

Nothing wrong with being a girl.

I married one.

Wow. You have literally no evidence to support your bizarre theory.

If you read the article you will see that they were renovating the house, they were staying temporarily in an apartment while the renovations were going on, most of their belongings were in the house, and emergency crews had to come out and shut off the gas and water.

This guy is clearly out of his mind.

Oh I totally read that story wrong. I read that as the wife saying she went to work. But it was the neighbor saying he went to work to return to the disaster.

That does change the analysis a bit, seeing she wasn’t going to work at least that day, and that he’s a contractor.

I dunno. It’s bizzare though. Apparently emergency action did have to be taken wrt the utilities. He may have shut them off himself but he should’ve at least gotten the permits so everyone knew he did. This isn’t rural property here it’s a suburb.

Don't worry.

Some of the sharper tools on this thread have already decided that this guy, whom they apparently know to be a highly skilled engineer, carefully turned off the utilities before he used an excavator as a makeshift bulldozer.

They also know that it was his house, even though her name was on the deed. They also know that he paid all the bills, even though he is unemployed and she has a job.

Basically, just take any sentence in the article and assume - without a shred of evidence - that the opposite of that sentence is true.

Clever and restrained

I actually had a Luchese friend of mine tell me revenge is a dish best served cold

First time I ever heard that cliche popularized by Puzo and Tarantino

He’s doing actual life at Leavenworth

He chose the life ....a gregarious loyal friend unless you betrayed him

He told the neighbor only because he asked.

He’s the quiet type.

Its like the old joke:

An elderly couple had just learned how to send text messages on their mobile phones.
The wife was a romantic type and the husband was more of a no-nonsense guy.

One afternoon the wife went out to meet a friend for coffee. She decided to send her husband a romantic text message and she wrote:

“If you are sleeping, send me your dreams. If you are laughing, send me your smile. If you are eating, send me a bite. If you are drinking, send me a sip. If you are crying, send me your tears. I love you.”

The husband texted back to her:
“I’m on the toilet. Please advise.”

An excavator is the machine of choice for demolition. A dozer the last choice, and then, only in an open area.

Turning off utilities is a routine task for most home owners, not complicated at all.

It’s possible that the contractor had a reason, considered consequences and decided that the demolition would be worthwhile. Many occurrences culminating in the deed are likely unknown to anyone physically far from the contractor and his “wife” of another surname. It’s unethical for a psych to issue an evaluation without a battery of tests, interviews and conclusive meeting with other psychs.

I think there is a quiet little section of every guy (gals too) that has at one time or another wanted to bulldoze their house/life and get a fresh start.

Every normal man must be tempted at times to spit on his hands, hoist the black flag, and begin to slit throats.

Without even calling her to let her know. Riiiiight.
