Casino operator Wynn Resorts Ltd. has slashed Chief Executive Steve Wynn’s salary to $2.5 million per year from $4 million, a regulatory filing showed. The company also extended the billionaire casino developer’s contract for two more years, till Oct. 24, 2022. Wynn, 72, is worth $3.5 billion, according to Forbes magazine. He will also now have to pay to use the company jet for personal purposes, though the filing outlined a $250,000 credit per year that he will receive to offset the reimbursement charges.

Could I send him some Russian Osetra Karat Caviar that I just happen to have in my pantry?

Yet another indication that both the American and Chinese economies (which are the basis for Wynn corporation’s fortunes) are in collapse mode.

It’s too bad Steve is losing some income. I imagine he contributes tons of cash to Republicans.

The man is a Democrat and all...yet he has been "ripping President Obama a new one" for a few years now.
One cannot really fault him for how well he runs his casinos. They are nice and they are successful.

My how times have changed. He’s worth $3.5 billion and it’s a big deal that he gets a salary cut. Back in 1992 Ross Perot was one of the richest men in America and he was only worth $3 billion. A billion bucks is chicken feed today.

However, I’m worth less today than I was 20 years ago. Sumting not right.

The Wynn was the last place I stayed at in Vegas and it’s the last time I’ll ever go to Vegas. The Wynn sucked. Service and food was lousy. And there was no place to get a simple snack like a burger.

Sorry to learn you were not able to enjoy a tasty burger at the casino. :-(

Crony capitalism, if you aren’t Obama’s crony you are probably doing worse.

Steve Wynn is liked by his employees, they appreciate their jobs.

Wynn is an America lover and a capitalist - something missing in DC to say the least.

He supports more than just the Republican party, he supports our Military in many ways.

He’s a good man.

I just went to Vegas — for the first time. Loud, crass, kitschy yet quite nice for 36 hours

Before I met my wife, in addition to working in one of his design company’s she used to babysit for the Wynn’s.

She said they were decent folks and paid her well.

When the Mirage opened, he threw a big party for the folks responsible for the design of the Mirage...invited all of the employees down to the lowest level to a very posh, black tie affair.

He came around during the party and personally thanked each and every one for their efforts and contributions, no matter how large or small.

During Desert Shield/Desert Storm, their company sent many care packages to our group...

I have no quibble with Mr. Wynn...my experiences with him are positive.

I’ve heard good things as well. However, he’s just in a business that can be either very lucrative or very...not lucrative. Luckily, he’s done well by taking a lot of risk.

"...either very lucrative or very...not lucrative."

LOL! So true and they [casinos] do it without my "help".
