Formerly the "Fans of Quinn and Rose Discussion" thread. We still hold out hope that our favorite talk show hosts will come back on the air - and all indications are that they will be, very soon! (SEE UPDATE BELOW) As we wait, our friendly group will still meet to start the day. Did yinz see, #DearLeader released 5 of his IslamoBuds last night from Gitmo...kinda an “in your face” move given the releasees are from Yemen and the France terrorists trained in Yemen. Maybe it’s just me, but I see a pattern here.
And the Cincy “OhioTerrorSuspect” per his totally clueless (or maybe sympathetic) Dad, WannaBeTerroirst DIDNT come out of his room (on his computer 24/7); his best friend was his cat (no comment); and didn’t think son’s MoBroHood beard was “unusual” (maybe a Duck Dynasty can?!?)
Anyhow...his story is fascinating and surreal at the same time.

I just heard about it right now, on Fox & Friends! They will be talking about extremist groups here in the US. I wonder if they will mention the one near my niece up in Deposit/Hancock NY.

Per Adm...(my 2 cents) “extremist groups” = Tea Party; FReepers; RightToLifeGroups; the Little Sisters of the Poor; ANY/ALL VFW Posts...I know I missed a bunch.
The NY “MosqueCamp” is really scary.
I saw it myself. Guys in their bedsheets at a checkpoint with rifles. They stared at us, we stared at them. It’s out in the boondocks. Chilling stuff.

Yeah , its in Hancock NY, about 2 hours travel time out of New York City, in the heart of the Catskills, a reknowned flyfishing area.
Interestingly , it is on the Deleware River watershed that is the primary resevoir for NYC ;
in fact , in order to fish that area , you need to get prior permission from the NYC Water Authority, and they police it (uniforms, cars , and sidearms).
There are a few year round farms, but many of the structures are seasonal hunting and fishing camps.
So close to NYC, and yet so isolated in a mountainous area.
Think of it as more like an armed guard post to a 'gated community '.

Yep. About 100 feet down a dirt road and off the main road. They had a small building next to the dirt road and and the entrance to the compound blocked. This was about 7 or 8 years ago.
Niece lives just a few miles from there, in Deposit. I lived there for a few years a long time ago.
Yes, it’s very isolated despite its proximity to NYC.
