COLUMBUS, Ohio (CBS Cleveland) Men who regularly posted photos of themselves online scored higher on a measure for narcissism and psychopathy. According to Medical News Today, a study out of Ohio State University has found that men who took selfies were more likely to exhibit psychopathic traits when compared to control group. That makes sense because psychopathy is characterized by impulsivity. They are going to snap the photos and put them online right away. They want to see themselves. They dont want to spend time editing, explains Jesse Fox, lead author of the study. The study included 800 men between the ages of 18 and 40. The key is men who regularly or frequently post "selfies" are self-centered and have narcissistic tendencies, which in a clinical sense is a form of psychopathy. Women who regularly post selfies probably are self-centered and narcissistic too.
This story is a classic example of a reporter misreporting a basic, non-controversial fact to create a sensational story.
I have always classified “selfies” as well as constant posting in social media such as “I am in the can at Starbucks taking a #2” as signs of a completely narcissistic generation/population.
Not only would a selfie of me break the interwez, I would not do it even if I was reasonable-looking!

I have to be really plastered to even contemplate taking a photo of myself.
I have noticed that gay men do a lot of selfies. So far, 3 men who I had pegged as gay strictly by the number of selfies they posted, have come out.
How does this only appy to men?
Every gun owning / facebook / smartphone user who posts selfies (with lets say a deer) just became confiscation targets under Prince Andrew Cuomos s.a.f.e. ACT under the mental hygene provisions
