Snow will become heavy, dropping visibility to near zero in many areas around rush-hour Thursday making for hazardous travel across the entire area.
Gusty winds will also help deteriorate visibility, drop feel-like temperatures below zero and created blowing and drifting snow.
Temperatures will remain bitterly cold as overnight low temperatures remain in the single digits, with wind chills remaining well below zero.

My borther an wife are NOT accustomed at all to these temperatures. Though they know it’s temporary it’s still not the least welcomed nor comfortable for them. Imagine having to use blankets to sleep!
About 25 right now. More snow coming.......bring it on!! Woo-Hoo!!
We’re the same here in blizzard prone, sub-zero North Dakota. We take the dogs out, stay with them, and bring them in as soon as they are finished. The female’s paws seem more delicate, and she will start limping in a minute or two. I carry her out and in. We’ve just arrived in a camp for oil workers and contractors in the Baaken. The camp is packed with RV’s. Next week, during 2/2 rest rotation, going to build a decked porch area with doggie door and an easy path down to enclosed area to shield them from prairie winds.
does this mean that the price of my Naples Florida condo went up 10,000 this week?
My car battery died this morning.
I wonder when this polar invasion will be blamed on Bush.
Cold will drain it. You have to hook it up to a battery charger with a AC power source and give it 48 hours to acquire a full recharge.
Keep in mind it takes longer in the cold than in temperate weather.
I’ve got two dog doors so they can get in and out but when it gets cold like this I think they want me to go out with them.
My jack russell doesn’t like to be out when its cold. He bulks up for winter but has such a thin coat he doesn’t have a lot of protection.
35 in Nola but 70s by weekend.

One of my brothers has two jack russels. Neat dogs.
The puppy wears out the older one. LOL
I remember biting winds, the frost nipping at my toes, nose turned into a icicle holder.. walking, back to the wind.. both ways to school.. frozen drifts of snow, that crunched when you stepped on them.
and that’s the 60s..
Man, thank goodness for Global Varming these days, eh?
Praying for some global warming here in Northern Illinois. Maybe if we get all the liberals here talking at the same time, we can have some hot air going.
8 degrees, wind and snow, an hour drive N.E. of Grand Rapids, Mi
In other words, Winter.
Yup. Pretty much.
Curse me, I want a week or two of sub zero calm nights. Makes enough ice to fish
Saginaw Bay or Lake Erie.
Plenty of ice on the inland lakes. The shanties have been on the lake here for about a week.
And I recall many nights the wind really howling thru my moms old victorian house. Even the windows would shake and rattle....and we'd wake to snow drifts so high they'd hie your vehicle easily!
That was in Bradford County Pa.
Great picture.
Looks like over two feet of snow.
Big kisses to your Jack, my fav breed. Not much snow here and cold at about 6 degrees....Still waiting for the storm but if nothing happens we girls are gonna hit TC for shopping and lunch tomorrow.
