When Sarina was singing I was too bored to pay attention so I went back and “sang along” to Frozen Hillary as written by jonny (though Marvin Gaye had a hand in it somewhere I believe). Omg it’s even funnier the second time. Uh oh I missed another singer on Idol. (T)rayvon was up.
If I could be queen of the world, Hillary would crash the filming and sing exactly that song. Could you imagine???

Does anyone else think record producers are weirdly involved with all these young people? Remember some of you, I have a friend who has a daughter who wants to be a pop star. She was the lead singer of a disney girl group and toured. Now though she is 21, she is like a little protege of this big producer. It just seems weird. Even though he has a gorgeous wife and lots of kids, and she is happy with her boyfriend, these producers are like father / bosses and they spend so much time together. I am not saying something wrong is going on, but it just seems like ... I don’t know... There’s no “punch off the clock” time for these young artists. Their every expense is paid so maybe there is no time that is their own. It’s weird and creepy. But they want that fame so bad.

To be fair, though, idol contestants try out for the show. The Voice goes seeking for excellent voices that haven’t hit it big. A LOT of them are professionals.
I wish we could get jonny to devote All his free time to watching singing shows so he could make a thread for The Voice too. Sadly, he has a life.
I LIKE jax’s Beatles song. I liked it at her audition too. I don’t really like her but she did a good job with it, imo.
However, her airplane tattoo is so distracting. I’m imagining when she is 65 will the airplane crash into the building of her eye? Will it disappear into a laugh line like a 747 into the Pentagon?
Omg, they are bumped next week for the finale of the Empire???? Back in the heyday, Idol would get more people watching than any other show!! How the mighty fall.
