Thousands of police officers are paying their respect to a New York Police Department officer shot to death along with his partner as mourners converge from around the country Sunday for a second funeral that stands to test tensions between the city's mayor and police.
Buddhist monks led a Chinese ceremony for Officer Wenjian Liu, followed by a traditional police ceremony with eulogies led by a chaplain. Liu, 32, had served as a policeman for seven years and was married just two months when he was killed with his partner, Officer Rafael Ramos, on Dec. 20. Despite commissioner Bratton's warning to his officers not to show any disrespect toward the mayor--or, for that matter, Liu's family--thousands of NYPD officers turned their backs to de Blasio as he eulogized the fallen hero....

Now it’s up to “thousands!”

So I guess that’s what the NYPD rank and file think about Bratton and his warning letter...
To me De Blasio had the temerity to attend knowing full well what would happen, even after he was dis-invited to the funeral.

Who the h*ll is paying for all these LEOs from around the country to attend this funeral. I realize these guys want to have a blue brotherhood, but not at the taxpayer expense. I’m going to have the local auditor look into this to see if any local police are using taxpayer money to attend.

Unless an officer is sent as an official honor-guard, they pay their own way, same as any other citizen traveling for private reasons.

Remember the press lies FOR democrats - AND AGAINST Republicans.
That means it was thousands.
Their local PD's and it's customary on a state level. The same goes with fire departments when one loses men on the job.
In this case, due to the high profile, it's clearly a message of solidarity.......
You don't have to call no auditor, just the local PD's and ask them straight up why they, in your opinion, wasted their money.......
