No, that’s Fred Gwynne (a great, great actor, made that dreadful show watchable). But for some reason, due to the name of Herman Munster, they are completely confusable. Fred’s been gone for a while and he is missed by me!

That’s sad. 71 is young by today’s standards. He got very heavy which I wonder had something to do with it...

He had a career playing FDR!

Great voice over & narration artist, too.

Saw him at the Grove Park Inn in Asheville in 1994. My wife and I were on our honeymoon and have brunch there.
He was there w/ John Larroquette and another actor I can’t recall at the moment having lunch.
Liked his acting.

While Fred Gwynne did play Herman Munster in the TV series, that picture is from a later made-for-tv movie in which Edward Herrmann played Herman

"I loved him as an audiobook reader, but he was also a vampire in “The Lost Boys.”

Yep. That moment when he vamps out is still creepy. May he rest in peace.

Actors care if they have their name spelled correctly in the billing even in death.....

You are absolutely right.

I’m on an iPad at the moment and I was going too quick to post it.

I’m normally not that sloppy, it’s harder to see on the iPad for some reason, than it is on my computer.

Thank you again for pointing it out.

He was in a lot more than Gilmore Girls.

His portrayal of Roosevelt was perhaps one of his best performances.

I remember first seeing him in a Disney movie, “The North Avenue Irregulars”, where he played a pastor.

Rest in Peace.

Life is fleeting. I didn’t know he was 71. I always enjoyed whatever I stumbled upon him acting in.

The one film the IRS tried to ban.

Harry's War

It was available on Netflix for a while.

I first saw him when he took on the IRS in "Harry's War," from 1981. :)
