I’ll miss him for all the great voice overs on the History Channel.

Lots of roles.

Very patrician.

He was great as Goldie Hawn’s husband in “Overboard” 1987.

I loved him as an audiobook reader, but he was also a vampire in “The Lost Boys.”

I don’t believe he is best known for Gilmore Girls...played FDR in a mini-series whichl lead to many narrator roles for documenateries on History Channel and was in many movies, ie Overboard

Ed did a great job as FDR.

He did. Some of his other roles, like Mr. Gilmore, were pretty close to his Franklin Roosevelt. That's not a putdown -- he found a character that appealed to people and that he could do better than anyone else.

They probably went with the most recent work first for the obit and headline

I agree with you regarding FDR and the History Channel, as well as movies.

OH NO!

He was the Husband on Going Overboard.

But more importantly he was my Favorite History Channel/Documentary Narrator

Narrators now are all boring British people, he had excitement in his voice, really helped to carry them.

May he R.I.P.
