The president and the first lady chronicled a series experiences in People magazine that they say demonstrated some of the latent racism that blacks in America continue to face.
"There's no black male my age, who's a professional, who hasn't come out of a restaurant and is waiting for their car and somebody didn't hand them their car keys," the president said.
The first lady said someone had asked her husband to get them coffee because he was wearing a tuxedo at a black-tie dinner, and he “had his share of troubles catching cabs” when they lived in Chicago.
"I tell this story -- I mean, even as the first lady -- during that wonderfully publicized trip I took to Target, not highly disguised, the only person who came up to me in the store was a woman who asked me to help her take something off a shelf,” she said.

MRC’s Scooter Schaefer reminded me of this story from 2011: “Four-star Army Gen. Peter Chiarelli — the No. 2 general in the U.S. Army — says he is absolutely not offended that [top] Obama adviser Valerie Jarrett mistook him for a waiter at a fancy Washington dinner this week and asked him for a glass of wine.”
Earth to Mrs. Obama: doesn’t the average Target customer know that the staff is always dressed in red? (My son is currently a Target employee.) Wouldn’t they know someone in a Nike hat and sunglasses isn’t on the staff?
How dumb would someone be to miss the AP photographer and the Secret Service agents when they treated you like an employee? This story seems as phony-baloney as the rest of the Target PR schtick-acle.

I had that happen... and a person wouldn’t ease to the side while I obviously wanted what they were blocking.
I finally reached over on my own and got what I needed... She said: ‘A polite person would say ‘Excuse me’.
I said” “ No ... a polite person wouldn’t make me ask.”
I had to double check to make sure this was not satirical. Really, Michelle? You were surrounded by the press, and someone thought you were a Target employee?
The Obamas are like the Clintons now in that they know that it is okay to tell all sorts of lies because the media will cover for them.

In his 2012 book Presidential Perks Gone Royal, author Robert Keith Gray writes that the $1.4 billion figure included the president’s innumerable flights on an Air Force One that was “running with the frequency of a scheduled air line.” “The most concerning thing,” said Gray, was “the use of taxpayer funds to actually abet his re-election”—most notably by using Air Force One to criss-cross the country campaigning and fundraising.
Barack and Michelle Obama Take Two Separate Jets to Vacation Spot in Martha’s Vineyard
One of the innumerable examples of the Obamas’ lack of respect for American taxpayers occurred on August 19, 2011, when the President and his family flew to Martha’s Vineyard for a ten-day vacation at a $50,000-per-week rented estate. They traveled on two separate jets, with the First Lady and the two Obama children arriving four hours earlier than the President. At much extra cost to taxpayers, Mrs. Obama (along with any extra staff and Secret Service personnel that had to be enlisted to go with her) traveled on a specially designed military aircraft instead of with her husband on Air Force One. She also had her own motorcade escorting her from the airport to her vacation residence. According to NewsBusters.com: “This is not the first time Michelle has gone on vacation ahead of the president on the taxpayers’ tab. Last December, she racked up what was likely more than $100,000 in expenses leaving early for their Hawaii vacation.”

Exactly the discussion I had with my brother just recently.
In whatever way you want to explain it and for whatever reason, “O” got handed a pure gold opportunity to be a standout STAR…. and to positively OWN 21’st century American history.
Did he take advantage of it?
NO!
Instead, he squandered every single chance his position had and continues to offer him, to look good and be a hero. It’s something anyone could have done in their sleep, with a minimum of effort and without compromising the least gram of personal conviction!!
He chose the low road and STAYED there.
He has never once capitalized on the status which is automatically BUILT INTO his Presidency-as the FIRST American, minority President.
Why he chose to maliciously and deliberately subvert (out of spite or stupidity) his OWN chances for absolute and lasting national significance is absolutely asinine and so childish that it’s embarrassing.
Again, I am not decided whether he’s done this out of stupidity or spite.
Is the anti-establishment, anti-American mindset SO corrosive to one’s character and so antithetical to basic common sense that he can’t see past his own nose on this stuff?

So true. He had the opportunity to do/be something truly great and historic. With his speaking abilities(though by prompter), he could have really built bridges and been what the black people needed.
As you correctly stated, he chose to take the ‘low road’ instead, and drug the Presidency down with him. Just completely pathetic what he turned out to be.
The most correct description of him I can think of is the one Rush often uses. He’s just a “Man-Child”. He truly is a little bitch. I wouldn’t refer to him as a ‘man’ by any means.
