I’m really starting to think the Voluntary Human Extinction Movement has a point. Sure, there are a few of us left not entirely psychotic. But we cannot guarantee that our children, or their children won’t be even crazier.
Maybe the machines should become self aware. Because we are on an exponential curve of insanity as a species and it ain’t gonna end well either way.
All kidding aside, when you have actual scientists openly spouting something that just a couple years ago tree hugging college kids were to timid to speak openly, we are well and truly doomed.

Have been saying for years that the collective common sense level of mankind is heading floorward.

Sooner or later the machines are gonna notice there’s a problem.
I have two sons.
I have done my level best to see that they have both grown up hibited. I am proud to say that I have succeeded in both cases.
The older son has overcome daunting challenges and engaged in activities that I would never dream of, challenging Earth, Wind, Fire and Altitude.
#2 son has, in his own way become a far crazier person than I ever aspired to be, although his craziness has landed him in the slammer a few times.
Just doing my part to insure a crazier nextgen.
