Forget the reviews.
The preview looks terrible.
“Why don’t you get on down,
Get on down the road..,”
*******************************************
Now don’t everyone raise their hands all at once children.
“Which version get played every year, watched by children and their successive generations and is quoted most often?”
“I could while away the hours,
Conversing with the flowers....”

Well obviously if people don’t like the movie its cause they are racist, at least that is what the media keeps on telling us
To: yarddog
they've made the Annie movie at least three times now,and TBTB gave the first one awful reviews but it actually was very good....
How the Grinch Stole Christmas is another fiasco as a remake.....not even close to the original....
the sheeple are such suckers that they'll slap $12 down to watch a terrible movie just because..

I saw a novel in a bookstore a few years ago, by a black woman writer, called
The Wind Done Gone, which was a retelling of
Gone With the Wind from the perspective of one of the slaves at Tara.
Don't know if anyone has tried to turn it into a movie, but they would have a starting point for the script.

Why is there some need to remake old TV shows and movies, but remake them to be politcally correct???
I wonder the same.
Like the remake of Ironsides with Denzel Washington. IIRC, it got pulled after about 5 episodes.

My daughter wants to see it, but I don’t think I can take Jamie Foxx mugging for the camera. He hasn’t done anything good since “The Kingdom.” Although I do like his bit part in “Horrible Bosses.”
Anyway, I think mommy will take my daughter to this one!

Because Hollywood people have no original thoughts in their heads, only a desire to be liked by the right kind of people, who happen to be the “left” kind of people.

THAT actually sounds interesting.

Same goes for the remake of “The Wild, Wild, West”. Robert Conrad told them that it would be a turkey and it was.
It did have a Black man as the star tho so it must have been really good.

This one is supposed to take place in 2014 instead of the 1930s. I’m just curious who they replaced FDR with.

I haven’t seen ‘Annie’ on the stage in waaaaaaay too long. Sis and I were in a bush-league production of ‘Oliver’ back in the day. Love that play. We were workhouse kids/chorus. D@mn that was fun!
We were raised in local theater. My Mom was Producer on her first play this year. At 79! Love her to pieces for raising us this way. :)
