If I remember correctly Terry Bradshaw’s firs YEAR stunk.

Bradshaw didn’t call himself (or perpetuate the name) “Terry Football” nor flash money signs when drafted.
Howie Manziel is close to Ryan Leaf than Terry Bradshaw.
I probably like Johnny Clipboard less than anyone but this will be his worst performance in all likelihood. The offense is still geared toward Hoyer, these first teamers have practiced a lot more with Hoyer.

The Browns defense didn’t show up either.
I just heard on The Ticket (Dallas sports station) that Johnny Goofball’s QBR was 27.3. Yikes! Jerry Jones made the right move by not drafting this one-hit novelty.
First of all, the Bengals were on the field most of the time. Second, the front line for the Browns were getting their butts whipped so there was no running game. That also means there wasn’t much protection.
With that said, he made some dumb throws today.

I’d was screaming that the coach should be fired while watching the completely execrable Brown’s offense. The number of false starts was unforgivable, and having to take a timeout before the ball could be played after the two minute warning was mind-blowing.
Johnny wasn’t the only problem on the field. Just like RG3 isn’t the only problem for the Redskins.
This height talk reminds me of the one time I have seen a pro football player outside of the stadium.
I was in line, or really it was just a crowd, in the lobby to see a movie, and in that crowd was John Elway. This was still when he was playing, and he could not stand out more because he was head and shoulders taller than anyone else in the crowd. Nobody spoke to him, but eveyone had to have thought, "Hey, isn't that John Elway's head floating above the crowd"? "Why yes, it is his head floating over there".
The thing is, when he was playing, he wasn't bigger or taller than the other players, in fact he sometimes looked smaller. So that really gave me a surprise as to how big they really are.
Same league as Mike Sam.

Every LSU fan knows Johnny is uncomfortable making plays when forced to the right. LSU was the only team that could contain him in college.
JM was forced into risk taking from the first series for the rest of the game.
No quarterback in football, pocket or otherwise, would have succeeded in this game with no line containment, and a penalized porus defense on the field for much of the game.
I am afraid you are right. Never did figure out why teams now days don’t realize a QB needs seasoning and somebody has to pay the price with losses for a new one to get the experience needed.
Russell Wilson has one thing Manziel is lacking, something between his ears. It’s called a brain. No comparision at all in the quarterbacks. Wison is a man, Manziel is not. I would also suspect his correct height and weight is about 5-9 and 160 because that’s exactly what he looks like playing. No way he’s 6 ft tall. He has a small frame, little skinny legs. He’ll never make it as a quarterback in the NFL.
There are Dugar gals that could teach him a thing or two. ;-)
