Cops are warning Mayor de Blasio and Council Speaker Melissa Mark-Viverito to stay away from their funerals should they be killed in the line of duty.
The Patrolmen’s Benevolent Association distributed a flier to members, blaring: “DON’T LET THEM INSULT YOUR SACRIFICE!” Cops were encouraged to sign and submit the “Don’t Insult My Sacrifice” waiver to ban the cop-bashing pols from their funerals.
“I, as a New York City police officer, request that Mayor Bill de Blasio and City Council Speaker Melissa Mark-Viverito refrain from attending my funeral services in the event that I am killed in the line of duty,” the waiver states.

Have you, Mr. Mayor, not added in any way to the current divisive atmosphere? Or is soul searching not a part of your vocabulary? Is leadership not part of your modus operandi? The buck stops ... where?
New York City, except for some parts of some boroughs where some real people can still live, is a cross between Liberal Jewish Hollywood, the capital of a Latino banana republic, and Lagos, Nigeria. After Giuliani saved/revived the town, the Leftist Obama-type voters of the wealthier classes turned on him like wild dogs. Oi Vey! Such a fascist! A Republican!
NYC scumbags can only handle so much civilization and must see daily evidence of massive political correctness. Mayor Bloomberg seized upon this phenomenon, and the town started its inexorable slide into the reign of DeBlahblah. Uber politically correct, with a black, self-proclaimed Lesbian wife and feeling the need to abase himself among the gibsmedats, he has turned on the cops. They ain't perfect, but they are all that keeps that ridiculous place under some semblance of control in the tax-paying neighborhoods. Now, the town might as well be run by Al Sharpton and the Black Panthers.
New York would be a wonderful state without NYC. (Oh yeah, because of the massive vote power of this sick city, the otherwise OK state gets a Governor whose IQ is lower than room temperature)

You do not have to be a NYC resident to take the Police Officer Exam, but on the day of appointment you must reside in New York City or one of the surrounding counties of NYC which are: Westchester, Rockland, Orange, Putnam, Nassau, or Suffolk counties.
FWIW Clemenza, as a native, you know that quite a few live on Staten Island or in Queens.

Indeed - If i were a NY Cop, I wouldn’t get out of my patrol car for anything. Do everything by the book. Cops are tough on black people? Fine - don’t arrest another one while Red Bill is Mayor.
I’d bet any response time for an emergency call to Gracie Mansion will be long and slow.
