Thoughts on the two programs? I love a good sleuthing show, but Elementary seems to muck up 100+ years of Sir Author Conan Doyle to me.

I dropped my cable TV several years ago. Netflix has a pretty good selection.

Kinda...Martin Freeman is Bilbo and Benedict Cumberbatch is the voice of the dragon Smaug

Check out this one on Netflix. Probably cancelled because it was to close to the truth, I thought it was compelling. It is on instant play.

The Chicago Code 2011 TV-14 1 season

Newly appointed police superintendant Teresa Colvin and her former partner, veteran detective Jarek Wysocki, battle to rid Chicago of crime as well as the rampant corruption of powerful politico Ronin Gibbons in this gritty cop drama.

Cast: Jason Clarke, Jennifer Beals, Matt Lauria, Devin Kelley, Todd Williams, Billy Lush, Delroy Lindo, Paolina Cimino

I wonder if Benedict chases Martin around the set making his Smaug voice?

Thanks... forgot about them...
Have to check out...Those ‘gritty’ ones about Baltimore were decent two...the same crew did HBO’s ‘The Wire’ and ‘The Corner’ and Network TV had “Homicide” all some pretty good ‘down and dirty’

This ‘new’ Chicago PD show NBC Wed(?) hits hard but some of it sort of stretches BUT like another poster said - ‘It is entertainment(???) and truth has to be stretched to sometimes make it work’

I may have watched about 10 minutes of one of those reality shows (started on one that had the daughters job was to convince the father that the guy that was (deliberately) ‘screwing up’ was a good husband choice’...Prize was who did better....I guess it proved (at least to me) that real life is NOT good for TV or Movies....<:

Harrelson’s character had more nuance, that’s for sure. Great acting, all around....
