Surface Pro 3 is great! I use at as a powerful little laptop but also as a tablet to read documents, pdfs, etc so I don’t need to carry around my books. I recommend it to all!

Apple has its head up its collective arse. The shortcomings of the iPad are evident. Wouldn’t be hard at all to have a full-fledged word editor and other features commonly found on laptops. It would not have hurt them to add removable/upgradable memory either.

Let Apple learn, or perish

The surface also has a really high degrés of accuracy in handwriting recognition. That is more useful in mamy ways Than its keyboard.

The surface is a hybrid product, its a laptop that can kind of function like a tablet when you absolutely need it to..

That’s its market, and that’s where it will stay.

Its an option for folks who need an ultrabook, but also at times may need some tablet functions.

It is not a direct competitor for the iPad, and that’s why it flopped so badly in its first few renditions because MS tried so damned hard to sell the thing as a tablet, its not... its an ultrabook with a different form factor.

Surface Pro 3 is great!

Too expensive for me but if I were offered a free iPad or free Surface Pro I would take the latter. Every time! S Pro3 is vastly superior to the iPad
