If the seven million dollar man fails to win again this year he will be selling cars next year. Those 4 and 5 star recruits ain’t cheep and the REC won’t keep dishing if the ROI is decreasing...

Also proved that Big 10 was a really weak conference.

TCU isn’t in it?

Sounds like a rip off.

Sorry I didn’t mean to offend you brother.
FSU will certainly get an opportunity to show they are really that good. I thought they were last year for sure. But this year I’ve seen them somehow manage to squeak out a win each week.
Credit to them for doing that. It’s got to be very hard to win like that over and over. That’s the sign of a well coached team for sure. So I take back the “pathetic” comment. You can’t be pathetic and go undefeated in a major conference.
And yes point taken about giving up 58 points.
Baylor still has work to do, and should not have lost to West Virginia.
A one loss Baylor will never get in over a one loss brand name under a system like this.
It would have been fun to see them given the chance to prove it on the field.
At the end of the day this is what makes college football more popular than the NFL. All the bickering. Though over the years that has grown tiring and not nearly as much fun as when I was 19 or 20.
When you are busy running a law practice and home schooling kids it gets harder to justify watching so much football.
This is my first year with zero NFl and I’ll say I don’t miss it.
Jerry Jones and Sam the ram helped me make that decision.
God bless.

not only that- give credit to the committee....the old system was you held your spot in the rankings until you got beat- no more...its a week to week basis, a “what have you done for me lately” scenario which it should be...

i wanted TCU in but based yesterday’s results:

1) Ohio State crushes 10 win Wisconsin for Big Ten title
2) FSU beats 10 win GT for ACC title
3) Baylor beats 9 win KState
4) TCU destroys 2 win Iowa State

there’s no denying the committee got it correct...

59-0 against a 10-2 team in the conference championship.

The Buckeyes deserved it by far. Neither Baylor or TCU had any victory all season that came close to the Wisconsin game, and both of them gave up 58 and 61 points respectively in their game against each other.

I think OSU's early season loss to a team that is still bowl eligible (although mediocre) is a lesser knock against their record.

TCU gave up 61 points in a defeat. They had no business in the playoff. Baylor was close, but they gave up 58 points at home.

End of story.

True, TCU nearly got knocked over by Kansas. But a 56 point spread between the top two teams?

IDK, Bama’s offense is firing on all cylinders. For the first time I can remember, Bama can now outscore its opponents instead of having to rely on its defense (which is still a pretty darn good D).

And again I really think OU’s loss tipped the scales.

Can you really tell me that the Big 12 is any better than the Big 10?

First order of business for the Big 12.

1. Get two more teams
2. Get a championship game
3. Admit the Co-Champion nonsense was stupid and award Baylor the title.

That wound up costing them, big time. This co-champion nonsense made them look silly.

offensively its head and shoulders above the Big 10... ironically the ESPN crew kept demeaning TCU’s out of conference schedule (Samford, Minnesota, SMU) and talked down about their 23pts win over Minnesota, an 8 win team who almost beat Ohio State...the Buckeyes out of conference schedule (Navy, Va Tech, Kent State, Cincy) aint much better (Cincy is a 9 win team in AAC- big deal)...

At the end of the day, it is still nearly-grown men playing a child’s game that has absolutely nothing to do with the education that an individual attains at any school. Just paid entertainers.

No offense taken, since you seem to have the correct outlook on the situation.

As a Texan, I think it would have been fun to have Baylor or TCU in there as well.

But I also want the right decision made since we don't have a legitimate playoff system.

But this year I’ve seen them [FSU] somehow manage to squeak out a win each week.

This isn't luck, it's consistency. They've made mistakes in games, but instead of those mistakes manifesting in a 1 loss, or 2 loss season, they've won every game. As defending National Champions, and the only undefeated, I think it's silly they put TCU ahead last week. You have to take into account that members of the team and coaching staff have experience on that stage, of actually winning a National Title.

Ohio State's 59-0 win over 10-2 Wisconsin was the final card. Once TCU and Baylor fans get over the initial disappointment, they'll realize that.

If either Baylor or TCU had won all of their games, they'd be in there. There was even talk of FSU being excluded, who is an established football power, 3 time and defending National Champion, and nation's only undefeated, so I don't think TCU and Baylor can make the case that they weren't treated fairly, or it was because they weren't established football powers. If Ohio State had won their conference championship game by 1 point, it's arguable Baylor would have been in there.
