It’s good to see that Rory Kinnear will be back. His father, comedic actor Roy Kinnear, never got to see his son make it.
I could NOT believe how dumb that old lady at the end of the last movie is.
So an army of bad guys are closing in on Bond and the old lady who’s leader of the 007’s. She escapes through a hidden tunnel out into the highlands.
And what is the first thing she does? She turns on a bright halogen flashlight to help navigate her way up the hills. Of course the bad guys see her flashlight.
Bad choice for Moneypenny. Well, will a politically correct choice ever be the right choice?
I’ve seen all the Bond films many times. I have to say that Casino Royale is the best plot, best action and still true to the Bond role. It gets my vote for the best Bond film in the stable.
“Well, will a politically correct choice ever be the right choice?”
Yeah, think of it though: a young black woman pining away for a powerful, violent, gun toting white man! The race baiters might attack it for that reason!
Agree. Bond should be snapping necks and banging tens. Anything else doesn’t cut it.

Honestly I thought the plot was standard for a Bond film (i.e. one step away from being a farce). The action was good - again standard for a Bond film but had more realism (which is a standard for action films today). I thought the film was enjoyable but I could not understand at all why people thought it was the greatest thing since sliced bread. It also lacked some Bind film standards (i.e. no Moneypenny, no Bond theme except when all but hidden in “Trip Aces”, “Bond Wins It All” and several other cuts from the soundtrack). I also think Eva Green is HUGELY overrated. She has a nice figure but Caterina Murino in the same film looks ten times better. Her acting ability is average, her overbite annoying, etc.
terrible script, sounds like. huge plot hole inorder to get rid of the character.
once bond goes gay/bi, like they want to do, it isn’t bond anymore.
Yeah... but if you saw Dr. No and Ursula Andress in her white bikini when you were 15 years old, that would be your favorite Bond movie...:^)
I wasn’t quite 15 when that came out.
I think Thunderball was my first in theater viewing of a Bond film, saw it in Florida as my uncle who lived there had snorkeled around the “cave” filmed in the Bahamas.
Nobody else is even close.
He's a credible bad-ass spy and only Sean Connery approached that before.
And what is the first thing she does? She turns on a bright halogen flashlight to help navigate her way up the hills. Of course the bad guys see her flashlight.
Remember “Birth of a Nation” where they burn a cross for the night scene. The KKK never burned crosses until AFTER they saw the movie. Director needed a light source.....................

I hope you’re not referring to the one starring David Niven...
lol, nope that was the worst.

I’ve always said to myself, James Bond would have died as early as GoldFinger if the Bad guys just shot him immediately instead of leaving him in some imprisoned or torture situations where they left him alone to fend for himself and gave him a chance to escape with one of his gadgets.
The Dr. No bikini scene that got all of the young boys excited in the early 60's was filmed in Ocho Rios, Jamaica and the locals still call it James Bond Beach...:^)
