Believe it or not, but the Ouija Board a game that some believe opens the door to the spirit world is one of the top trending toys that is making a comeback this season, according to Google.
And its a development that has some faith leaders warning of potentially disastrous repercussions.
Attributing the recent resurgent rise in popularity of the Ouija Board to the October release of a movie called Ouija, Google reported on its commerce blog that online searches for the board game are up 300 percent since the film reached the big screen.
An Irish priest who serves as an exorcist spoke on condition of anonymity recently, telling Irelands Independent that this development is anything but positive.
Its easy to open up evil spirits but its very hard to get rid of them, he said.

Very very dangerous.
You have network shows like “Constantine” and all kinds of demonic themed and zombie shows and we wonder why there is a spike in mental illness and demonic manifestations? Well guess what America? Demons are real and they would love to mess with you and your life.

Yup, not a toy at all. Many many cases of possession have been attributed to the use of the ouija board the most notable being the case that was used as the basis for the movie the Exorcist.
Anyone who buys a Ouija board for their kid might as well buy him or her LSD or dynamite.
Stupidest toy ever.
If it worked, I could ask it a question and it would self guide the amswer, with or without my hand touching it.
Terrified?
Maybe we just know better.
What, it doesn’t come with warnings of possession? Why is it still sold as a toy? Seriously.
Not. A.Toy. Did you thinnk it had magnets or something?
I ‘know some things about some things’, and in ‘the art of divination’, as it is termed by some of my Pagan friends,
*** EVEN -THEY- DO NOT AGREE WITH USING ‘SPIRIT BOARDS’**!!
THEY agree that usage of one can ‘invite things unwanted’.
Now, if Pagans are saying not to use one, for their given explanation, and ecumenical clergy are saying the same thing, with very similar wording, should that not be reason enough NOT TO DO SO??

This explains it, which isn’t to say that it is a good idea to mess with Ouija boards. Never mess with evil or try to mess with evil. Bad idea.
2 Chronicles 33:6 - And he caused his children to pass through the fire in the valley of the son of Hinnom: also he observed times, and used enchantments, and used witchcraft, and dealt with a familiar spirit, and with wizards: he wrought much evil in the sight of the LORD, to provoke him to anger.
I was talking to my adult daughter last year. She told me about going across the street to see a childhood friend when she was in elementary school. She said she felt really scared when she went into this little girl’s house. She left as soon as possible. Later, she learned her friend had been messing with one of these boards. She is afraid of them. Do not mess with them.
I think it’s just an inanimate object and it’s boring.
Perfect! Well, at least Republicans will control the house and senate come January.
People who buy them have no idea what they are opening themselves up to. Its a conduit to evil. There are countless stories about them bringing about very bad luck and even resulting in death in some instances. When I was young we bought one. It wasn’t long afterwards that my mother had a double aneurism and my father had terminal cancer and died. I never connected the two until watching some some shows about the Ouija board on TV where bad things happened after people bought them (in addition to many other negative things).
We had a Ouija board in our house when I was a kid. The siblings and I messed around with it a couple of times when we were bored, but I guess we didn’t ‘get it’ because we probably figured it was some sort of board game.
We never did figure it out, which is probably a good thing. I’m convinced that they’re a gateway to a darkness that most people have no comprehension of.
I remember playing with one as a kid. It never moved so we started pushing it around the board. Eventually it wound up in the garbage as a boring toy.
I agree with you.
Magic 8 Ball is way more fun and so are fortune cookies.
I have rule when opening Fortune Cookies. Whatever the fortune is I say it and then add “In bed”...
Works too...
