The idiots on these Cosby threads who whine about statutes of limitations and "why didn't they say something when it happened?" have obviously never been in show business. They have no idea of the pressure and influence wielded by control people in the industry. They have no idea what it's like as a young person banking everything on a show business career who is suddenly confronted with a powerful, famous person who wants to force themselves on you.

I lost a key job in my burgeoning career because I wouldn't succumb to a famous homosexual. It influenced the REST OF MY CAREER. The word was out: I wouldn't "play the game".

You fools who know nothing should keep your mouths shut. You haven't been there. You know nothing but what you read in the media.

So you want a medal cuz you woudn't commit an act of sodomy in order to get work ?

Life is real tough for people looking for the easy life and willing to whore themselves out in exchange for a job where you play act and have great fame and wealth and party all the time. Sounds like an Eagles song.

I guess the prospect of just getting a regular job, where you just work, aren't famous and have to pay for your own parties, etc.,... that would be like the poor struggling actor's whole world would fall apart ?

Sounds like a Sam Kinison bit: I coulda had that job. Just one more time, that's all he wanted, was me to do it one more time. Why didn't I just ______ him like he wanted ????!!!!!!!! I'd be an ACTOR by now !!!!!!!!!!!!! AAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHH !!!!!!!!!!!!! Now I'm here flippin burgers at Dennys !!!!!! AAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHH !!!!!!!!!!!!!

You’re right. Your post needed to be said.

When I was young, I was alone with celebrities on more than one occasion. If they had a wholesome image and seemed nice, I trusted them. Nothing ever happened, but it could have, and then people would have asked me, “Well, what were you doing there with him?” Cosby was like everybody’s dad. He did those Jello commercials with kids, he had kids’ cartoons on TV, etc. I can see where girls would have trusted him.
