The shooting was no doubt justified but I really question the wisdom of police officers driving up to within 6 feet of the guy and then shooting him immediately at point blank range.
This could have been done a bit smarter and from a longer distance in a way that would have prevented the need to shoot
I disagree. That’s a 12-year-old playing with a fake gun. It’s obvious in the video. Not sure why a police officer didn’t see that.

In my opinion the kid wasn’t posing an immediate danger to anyone (even if it was a real gun) that justified pulling right up to him and ahooting.
They should have held back to at least observe and take in some facts and understand the situation a bit.
They pulled up so fast and shot that I can’t even imagine the kid had time to obey or disobey orders before they decided to shoot.
You can’t just rush to a potentially armed person and gun them down like that.
It’s really a horrific display of awful judgement by the officers here.
If they felt threatened then it’s only because they pulled right up to the danger and gave the kid about half a second to comply or die.
