There is no doubt that many people who collect government assistance do so because of disabilities or a real need for temporary help as they transition from recession-related job losses into the new economy. But there are also millions of people who simply dont care where their monthly stipend comes from so long as they dont have to work for it.
Kiara, a 12-year veteran of the American welfare system is one such individual. As she notes in the video below, she has four kids, no job, depends on government housing, and feels totally comfortable with all of it because she gets paid regardless of whether she works or not.
Life is so good for Kiara, in fact, that shes holding a brand new cell phone in her hands during the interview no doubt paid for by the American taxpayer through the Obama Phone initiative.

Absolutely. I used to give a set amount to charity. No more.
Obama and all of his new taxes has erased that. I reserve it for family in need.
partial galt.. I listen to his home station (AM1130 in Minneapolis) I have heard him do radio spots and appearances.
“...a 12-year veteran of the American welfare system...”
right THERE is the problem!!!!!!
(persons with serious disabilities excepted, of course)
Notice whenever one of these sad sack welfare cases shows up on TV or wherever, they have tattoos up the wazoo, and plenty of piercings?
I've always wondered if someone is SO poor that they "need" welfare, where does the money come from to purchase these accoutrements?
Not like tattoo artists will work for free. They want cash, and lots of it.
Well, she it right. She is not lying. When you pay bums to be bums, they don’t need to work and they know it.
Don’t pay bums to be bums, but I know tons of people who think everyone collecting like here NEEDS it. As long as the US is filled with starry eyed idiots that are OK with paying bums to be bums, intelligent people like us will not be able to stop it, even though this is the worst thing for them and creates dependency and destroys spirit and self-worth.
it comes from the same place that causes/allows a working person to rant & rave about paying $200 a month out of pocket for meds that are allowing them to live- "this is an outrage, the drug companies are ripping me off, this should be 'free', etc" - whilst holding their new iPhone that they pay $200 a month out of pocket for and are ticketed pink to get in line and pay big for the new one and purchase every silly ap.
There are two kinds of People in America, the ones that are owed a Living and the ones that owe them a Living.
We hire people in town to clean our city parks and streets. They mow grass and pick up leaves. They plow and shovel snow in the winter, they paint and repair city buildings. These are perfect jobs for those that suck off of taxpayers. I’m sure every city and town could find a job for those who use the system.
It builds confidence and instills pride in the community.
I really do miss the show.
It would seem so, but the guys currently doing it have a union and don't want competition.
cwii - makers vs takers.
I met a homeless guy. Talked with him for awhile. “You know - not all of us are homeless because we are sick and can’t work, or can’t find work. I’m homeless because I think it is immoral to work and pay taxes for things I don’t believe in.”
I couldn’t believe it! I didn’t have the guts to say “Yeah - I hate paying taxed too - especially when they help support low-lifes like you.”
I have met a number of leftists who live at poverty level so they do not have to participate in the system. And they all are proud of it.
“...so they do not have to participate in the system.”
Well - for that I applaud them. If not participating means not collecting food stamps, etc. /s
That's EXACTLY true!
In fact union thugs don't even like it when the Boy Scouts clean up a public park or playground.
Well - for that I applaud them. If not participating means not collecting food stamps, etc. /s
_______________
No, not participating means not having enough money to be taxpayers, to use charity healthcare, to get in free to concerts and other events using freebies. to barter.
