Any idea how to defeat the “ABS light” on a Blazer?

It’s a known glitch but beyond warranty/recall repair.

They don’t even have new parts available to replace or repair the old ones.

Can’t sell the damn thing because of that light and it’s in otherwise pristine condition.

My dad’s Jimmy had push button 4WD. Whomever came up with that stupid idea should be shot.

And yes, the solenoid fried and took all of the wiring with it. My dad was stuck with 2WD (three winters) until he could afford to get it repaired.

What year Blazer? If it has an OBD II system, a reader will tell you why the light is on, just like an engine light.

Pull the bulb for the light.

I don’t know myself. My old Blazer doesn’t have that problem since it predates ABS but it has plenty of others.

I liked those years, got it for nothing, use it as a tractor and test bed for stuff and probably couldn’t get much for it.
