One of the assistant city managers in our town was just arrested for stealing $121,000 from his former employer. He admitted to the cops that he didn't pay back the money he took. He's been put on leave WITH PAY.

Why is this crap always tossed in, as though it somehow mitigates his wrong. And talk about sweetheart deals. The relationship with DA’s, prosecutors, even judges, with cops is incestuous. No one even tried to give him the penalty he deserved.
As for him breaking down? Not buying it. He is not sorry he harmed a child. He is sorry he got caught.
