Bill Cosby Finally Speaks Out On Sexual Assault Allegations

Comedian Bill Cosby spoke out against a wave of sexual assault allegations but told a Florida publication he does not have to "answer to innuendos."

Cosby, 77, spoke to the newspaper Florida Today on Friday, before performing his comedy routine at a theater in Melbourne, Florida.

The comedian has refused to address questions about allegations made by a number of women who said he forced himself on them sexually, with some accusing him of drugging them first.

"I know people are tired of me not saying anything, but a guy doesn't have to answer to innuendos," Cosby told Florida Today, which serves readers in Melbourne and surrounding areas.

"People should fact-check. People shouldn't have to go through that and shouldn't answer to innuendos," Cosby told the newspaper, in a story posted on its website late on Friday.

Cosby received a standing ovation at the start of his 90-minute show in Melbourne, which concluded without incident and without the comedian discussing the allegations.

From the string of revelations that have surfaced, that old clip of Bart from Blazing Saddles would seem to be apt:
"Where de white wimmen at?"

“Too many women coming forward for there not to be something going on.”

Celebrities are inundated with sexual offers relentlessly. Cosby woudn’t be the first the slept around a lot.

Easy to believe that many of his paramores might be thinking to cash in once an accusation was made.

Remember, he does not have a Clintonian “Bimbo Eruption Squad” to smear his accusers.

Sixteen women have publicly stated that Cosby, now 77, sexually assaulted them, with 12 saying he drugged them first and another saying he tried to drug her. The Washington Post has interviewed five of those women.

Direct, specific accusations of rape are not innuendo.

Sorry Bill, but these are not inurendos. They’re pretty damned specific.

There were many more serious and credible allegations against Clinton than Cosby...as President, Clinton had the office of the President protecting him...he most certainly should be held accountable - more so than Cosby, just an aging actor.

I don’t think these criminal allegations are innuendos. Cosby supposedly has a Doctorate and he doesn’t even know the meaning of such a word.

Yep, these aren't "innuendos" they are descriptions of events and many are descriptions of being drugged and rape by the woman being drugged and raped, and innuendos don't get settled out of court by Bill Cosby and result in 2 police reports and one in a DA convinced of his guilt in a drugging rape case that he had to handle.

Cosby may be guilt. OTOH, this sure looks like a payback from the government for his failure to support the Messsiah.

Nonsense, Cosby is credibly accused of being a true serial rapist who drugged his victims and who has already settled out of court on one of them.

Rapists want more than dates and consensual sex.

“more so than Cosby, just an aging actor.”

I think most women would not agree. Both “Bills” have sexually assaulted a number of women. The fact that Cosby is “an aging actor,” should really have nothing to do with how each are treated. If the allegations are true, and most likely, they are, then both of them need to be tried and incarcerated as prescribed by law.

Feels like the Cain thing only worse. “Out of the mouths of two or three witnesses let every word be established.” He’s got something like sixteen, many reporting the same MO.

Am I happy about this? Of course not. Cosby was one of the few black voices speaking the truth to the black community against the dysfunctional feel-sorry-for-yourself and the-world-owes-me-a-living black culture.

When the messenger is taken down, the message is hurt also.

So far, what we have is allegations — a LOT of allegations, but merely allegations.

Now, my journalism training tells me that when a lot of people independent of each other tell you essentially the same story, there is most likely something there. However, none of them has produced corroboration other than their own word.

Now, the same question arises as with the Herman Cain allegations: Where were these women years ago when all this is supposed to have happened? Why didn’t they speak out or speak to the media then?

Why is this coming out now? Is it possible that this is related to Cosby speaking out about the black culture, urging black families to stay together, urging black students to achieve, and the like? These things, if they were to happen, would be a threat to the “progressive” establishment that needs a permanent and expanding underclass to carry out its schemes. And Bill Cosby carried enough weight in the black community to be listened to. So they have an obvious motive for wanting to destroy Cosby.

I’m not saying he did it, I’m not saying he didn’t. But I find these unanswered questions troubling.

They were with him voluntarily to have sex with him in exchange for him helping with their careers, but - surprise, surprise - he didn’t help them with their careers. So now he’s every horrible accusation they can think of, because they know they never have to prove anything. Even a DA that went after him couldn’t prove anything. You know why? Because the women were with him to have sex in the first place. Why should he drug women who want to have sex? And if they’re not giving him sex, why should they think being alone with him would help their careers? There’s a lot of women? Yep, probably hundreds. He’s been famous for a long time, and this seems to be his easy way to get laid.

Simple explanation to a common situation. No drugs or underage girls or force or rape required to explain this. Just bitter, angry women who feel ashamed for what they chose to do in order to try to get ahead, that didn’t work out the way they planned. Now they get to pile on with slander and be the victim and maybe join a lawsuit, out of sheer frustrated shame and disappointment - and never have to prove a thing. How utterly convenient.

And of course he’s a liberal - the Rats wouldn’t care what he said if he was a conservative. But a mega-famous Black liberal preaching that Blacks need to shape up and stop blaming White people must be stopped - and he was about to have a new show. So, a little tweaking of his past - cheating and mass promiscuity with willing women trading sex for favors - turns in to drugs and rape (though the evidence literally consists of no one remembering anything, or admitting having sex multiple times and now claiming it was somehow forced even though they kept coming back for more).

And the result of this rank hypocrisy? Are you kidding, in our PC world based on internet memes and Facebook Like’s? What else - Cosby publicly convicted through sheer demagoguery, and the Democrat plantation safe from the truth once again.

Remember, when Clinton said, “I DID NOT HAVE SEXUAL RELATIONS WITH THAT WOMAN...”, he had to pause a moment to remember which woman he was talking about.

It doesn’t look good for him. I looked up to him as a child and I enjoyed the Cosby show and was impressed that he overcame so much to become a success. No one is immune to the influence of evil. I would hope that this would not be true but there are too many women and too many women who aren’t looking for money.

Yes. At this point, the allegations being made are far more than “innuendo.” They are accusations.
