This will certainly collapse the SS system much more quickly than ever. Adding 5,000,000 people to the SS rolls, who HAVENT PAID INTO THE SYSTEM, is a slap in the face to hard working Americans who have been supporting this system for decades.

Considering the flood to the border that this is unleashing, 100 million might be a better guess.

This is a big slap-in-the-face, stab in the back. I had been still hoping to pull myself up and out of the unemployment (no money, no “benefits”, no “house” etc.) HELL I’ve been living in. This is the final stab. I know now that I won’t be able to pull myself up after being a full-time stay-at-home mom and housewife (and unfortunately divorced after 21 years). I will now be competing with more, younger, and more “fluent in Spanish requirements” which I am not fluent anymore, for a job. Last night I realized that I am toast. The Country that offered the American Dream, was no more for me, and possibly my children.

Seems like this would be yet another way that Congress’s control of the purse strings could thwart Barry—if they were so inclined.

I don’t think some of the illegals were even getting min wage. This is going to throw a little kink in there for their employer. Even if the employer was paying min wage under the table, their check will get smaller because of the taxes. However, I just don’t see these employers all of a sudden become good corporate citizens and start paying FICA and the other cost associated with paying people under the table.
Also, I think the min wage meme will really hurt the illegals. They have so much going against them, unskilled, language barrier, etc. I think the min wage hike will kill a lot of jobs!

Look at the UK’s immigrant situation and you will see exactly what we will look like in 2 years.

New laws protecting various minority groups like muslims and Mexicans will be created. Lots of free housing and child welfare bennies. As the various groups gain power they will attack our way of life even more.

This is how you do one world government. Simply open all the borders and allow everyone from the third world to flow in and dilute the western nations to the point where every country is a third world *hithole with no identity at all.

So sorry. I don’t have any advice for your situation. This Admin has put the last nail in the coffin that holds the American Dream. The ‘dreamers’ now have the control via this pResident.

I think this is why UKIP is gaining ground in the UK. They want to sever relations with the EU who has been pushing for open ‘immigration’ for all the EU countries. I cannot remember if the scandal at Rotherham has been covered here at FR, but look it up. The UK is suffering abominations in the hinterlands that are appalling.

I see flouting of the law to continue. They will work under the table. It’s still cheaper for an employer to pay them cash rather than paperwork. No enforcement of any kind will start. They will still have the fake ID’s and SS#s AND while working under the table and evade taxes, claim benefits and what little may be reported, get tax credits and refunds.

The more I think about it, as I’ve said on other threads, the more I think the best plan is to sit back and, knowing that this will eventually expire on it’s own, allow it to play out without going so far to close the government.

The fact is that Obama wants the GOP to close the government. The shutdown a year ago over Obamacare is a good example for not doing that: between the Healthcare.gov disaster, people being kicked off their plans, skyrocketing premiums and deductables, etc Obamacare is slowly destroying itself in a much more “teachable moment” way than the Republicans could ever do by shutting down the government.

Call it tough love, or needing to give a child enough room to learn the hardway not to touch a hot stove. Right now thats the only sort of thing that seems to work.

Yes, there are many here too lazy to pick up the phone and help save their own country.

And didn’t we recently find out that the Admin had ordered MILLIONS of green cards to be printed? And Josh ‘Earnest’ ridiculed the reporter who asked about it, saying the color of the ‘paper’ ordered wasn’t important. Bizarro America........and Big Media KNOWS all the lies but refuses to cover the fact that they are lies.

I think you’re wrong here. The 5 million quoted are more likely 10 million, and chain migration will balloon that to 30 million primarily low-skill, subsidy and affirmative action-dependent, Leftist voters.

Just another couple of years burrowed in with legality and they’ll never get rooted out. They’ll also be even more photo-equpped illegal voters—just by 2016—than we’ve already got—which is probably more than we can offset with a legal majority.

You sound like part of the GOPe by fearing a “government shutdown” if Congress merely doesn’t approve spending it shouldn’t approve.

I agree; this only protects them from deportation for now; not that there was any worry about it before.....

It will be interesting to see how this evolves. The illegals were happy last night, but lets see how they feel in 6 months. I think there will be a lot of moaning and groaning that this did not help them the way they thought it would.
That is of course, if the Republicans don’t roll over and listen to all of this BS that we must pass reform to win another election....
