Vanity Question: Has any U.S. President in history ever issued 5 million criminal "pardons" before?

Just asking. Can we all agree that these are "pardons" to give millions of lawbreakers a get out of jail free.

Agreed but is this an example of a mass pardon.

But they were pardoned for a past crime.

Illegals who remain are still breaking the law.

So, pass a law that he has to sign each individual pardon - no autopen. and as I learned on Hell on Wheels, a pardon has to be accepted by the recipient. That will keep him out of trouble for a while...

“But they were pardoned for a past crime.

This is a very interesting point.

We’ve never had a criminal president before. The Kenyan is a historical first.

Can you pardon people for future crimes? Because they show up for work, with their fake social security numbers tomorrow morning, crime!

the power to pardon is absolute
entering the country is illegal. so is staying in the country. he cannot pardon future crimes.
the gop should say ‘we are gonna take that list of all you criminals in 2016 and imprison every one of you. and your families too.’
that would cut down on those that take up the ghetto fool on his offer

The power to pardon might be absolute, but it could also be giving him a knife with which to cut his own throat — if these immigrants were officially recognized as invaders then pardoning them is giving them aid and comfort… which is mentioned in the Constitution.

good luck with that

those crimes are considered quaint today

we cannot get anyone to do anything about obvious violations - you can forget crimes like treason and such

He should have to name and sign off on each one. No autopen.

"How about we give all people of the world free citizenship? "

Sure, why not?

We have ,(according to the leftist elitist multibillionaires), "too much" anyway.

Let our "betters" in government decide how much we should have, and how we should live. Let our politicians control every single aspect of our lives.

Shared misery and poverty for EVERYONE (except the elites)- YAH!
