Small consolation I’m sure, but typically you can fend off internet price increases by threatening to switch providers. I’m running at 2010 pricing for cable tv and internet via threats to switch to U-Verse.

Problem is there is only one provider in our area. They have a monopoly. Not even DSL is an option where I live.
