Texas has private schools and people are free to choose them.

Having government fund them is the question, especially if the government gets to regulate them.

Dan Patrick's (Lt. Governor elect) has always want to have a robust private school choice program in Texas and he will have his chance. Speaker Strauss has always been the stumbling block on this, he's in the teachers Union's back pocket and has killed it every time it has come up.
